Social Media Foundations – Content Creation (P115) is a comprehensive preparatory program that enables students to develop the essential skills required for social media content creation and influence, including storytelling, filming, editing, marketing and business management.  

Through a structured curriculum, this one-year certificate program imparts the foundational skills pivotal for emerging social media influencers. Students explore the influence of social media content creation on the social, political, economic, and cultural landscape to identify historical trends and future opportunities.

This program caters to individuals with diverse credentials or experience in any discipline with an interest in social media content creation. Students are empowered to effectively engage with social media consumers, adding a dynamic and influential dimension to their existing expertise. 

Graduates will emerge with a portfolio that showcases their capabilities and serves as a valuable asset when pursuing further post-secondary education.  

Program Specific Computer Requirements

You'll need to have access to a personal computer with the following minimum specifications:

  • Apple M3 chip with 8-core CPU, 8-core GPU, 16-core Neural Engine (or Windows-based equivalent)
  • 8GB unified memory
  • 256GB SSD storage
  • 13.6-inch Liquid Retina display with True Tone³ 
  • 1080p FaceTime HD camera
