Navigating your first 30 days
Your first semester can be a whirlwind of activity with new classes, professors, software, assignments, and more. We have laid out resources to help you set yourself up for success from the jump! You've got this!
Online Orientation
The best way to get started at George Brown is through Online Orientation.
Online Orientation covers everything you need to know as a new student, from your immediate to-do list to a look at all the services we have to support you. You can go through the full virtual course in one go, or at your own pace leading up to the semester, whatever is more comfortable. This is a vital step in getting ready for life at George Brown!
Orientation Events
We have plenty of fun and informative events to welcome you to George Brown!
In the month before your first semester, you should attend virtual information sessions and workshops about navigating post-secondary life.
During the week before classes, you are encouraged to visit your campus for Orientation to go on tours, meet new friends, explore services, enter giveaways and more.
Then in the first few weeks of the semester, you're invited to our Welcome Week, Services Fairs, and more!
