What is Giving Tuesday?
Giving Tuesday is known as the world’s largest generosity movement. It was created as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good — make someone smile, help a neighbour or stranger, show up for an issue you care about, or give some of what you have to those in need.
Since its beginning in 2012, Giving Tuesday has grown into a worldwide movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world.
This year Giving Tuesday takes place on December 3rd and at the George Brown College Foundation, we truly feel it is an amazing opportunity for Canadians to band together and donate to an important cause. We are proud to participate in this global initiative again in 2024.
Support the Fresh Start program
By establishing this program, George Brown College (GBC) has been increasing access to food security and promoting community health and wellness. The funds raised supply free breakfast items, deliver nutritional education, and support discount meal programs.
Your donation to Fresh Start will make a positive and tangible impact and provide GBC students with a thriving learning environment that values a healthy, holistic, and supportive educational experience for the better future of Toronto and the George Brown community.
