What is the Diversity Calendar?
The Office of Anti-Racism, Equity & Human Rights Services is pleased to present our annual Diversity Calendar that recognizes a variety of dates of significance. The art is created by equity-deserving artists from the George Brown College community who connect with the representation of the calendar and the diverse commemorated dates.
Get Involved
The Office of Anti-Racism, Equity & Human Rights Services (OAREHRS) is seeking art submissions for the 2025 Diversity Calendar! Share your visual art that reflects the intersections of identity, social justice, and belonging at GBC and beyond and earn a $75 honorarium.
The Diversity Calendar is released annually by OAREHRS and reflects our commitment to honouring and celebrating the diverse, intersectional, and inclusive communities at GBC. Chosen submissions may be featured in the calendar physically (distributed across campus), on the GBC site, on our social media, and in other related venues.
What do I share?
Your submission involves two key parts: the Visual and the Written.
Your Visual Art is any image that is 5"x5" (square) and at a print-quality resolution (minimum 200ppi). It could be a painting, poetry, photography, or anything else in a square image file.
Your Written Statement is 50-150 words about your art to be displayed alongside it in the Diversity Calendar. Share what you want people to think about, how this reflects your identities, or the themes of inclusion and belonging.
Please also share a brief image description for accessibility and how you would like to be credited (your name and professional portfolio links).
How do I share?
Sharing your submission is as easy as 1, 2, 3!
- Review the submission information on this page.
- Prepare all the parts of your submission.
- Submit your work through the form below (GBC login required).
