On Monday, we learned of the passing of the Honourable Murray Sinclair, the former judge, human rights champion, senator, and chair of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC), whose advocacy and work forever changed Canadians’ understanding of the multi-generational impacts of residential schools.

We highlighted George Brown’s role as a climate change solutions leader through academic programming, partnerships and capital projects such as our mass-timber building, Limberlost Place.

This week marks Treaties Recognition Week (November 3 – 9), providing us with an opportunity to reflect and learn about the historical and contemporary impacts of treaties in Canada.

With campus tours, on-site application support, giveaways and more, visitors got a taste of what it’s like to study in downtown Toronto.

The event was co-hosted by the Canadian Wood Council and George Brown College’s Brookfield Sustainability Institute, as part of their multi-year strategic partnership.

George Brown has partnered with the Afro Canadian Contractors Association (ACCA) to deliver targeted training in business development, financial management, and leadership to entrepreneurs.
