George Brown College's Advanced Studies in Inclusive Early Childhood is a post-diploma, one-semester training program that strengthen your capacity to respond to children with special needs. This program is designed for Early Childhood Educators, teachers and supervisors.

Take your education and career to the next level with the Bachelor of Early Childhood Education – Honours (Degree Completion) program. This two-year program is designed for students with an early childhood education diploma and prepares you for leadership roles in the sector. We also offer a part-time study option for this program. 

George Brown College's Child Development Practitioner (CDP) program is designed for those already working in the field of Early Childhood who wish to pursue formal studies and receive certification as a Career Development Practitioner. As a CDP apprentice, you will be required to take 23 modules of in-school training on a part-time basis in the evenings. This training is currently being offered in a hybrid format - both in-person and online.

George Brown College’s part-time Early Childhood Education (ECE) diploma program will prepare you to work as a trained early childhood professional. In this part-time program, you will study in the evenings taking one to three courses per semester. Upon completion of this program, you will be eligible for entrance to Ontario’s College of Early Childhood Educators. This is a requirement for anyone wanting to work as an Early Childhood Educator in the province of Ontario.

George Brown College's Early Childhood (EC) Management Certificate (Post-Diploma) is a one-semester program designed to prepare supervisors and directors for their roles and responsibilities in childcare programs, family childcare, preschools, nursery schools, family drop-in centres, family literacy programs and early intervention services. This program will also prepare you for management and leadership in the integrated early childhood system that is emerging in Ontario.

The Assaulted Women's and Children's Counsellor/Advocate (AWCCA) (Accelerated) program will prepare you to provide anti-oppressive counselling and advocacy for survivors of gender-based violence.Apply to this accelerated program stream if you have an existing diploma or degree and work/volunteer experience in feminist organizations and programs and are interested in accelerating your career as a counsellor/advocate for survivors of gender-based violence.If you apply to the 2024/25 intake for this program, you will begin your studies in May 2025. The program integrates a holistic approach embedding an ecological perspective and principles of human rights, anti-oppressive practice, resiliency, and restorative practice.

The Community Worker program prepares students to work for progressive social change with organizations, communities and individuals across a range of issues such as poverty, housing, legal rights, discrimination, food justice, immigration and refugee settlement.

The Social Service Worker (Accelerated) program will provide you with the opportunity to learn theoretical models, group facilitation, mental health support, values, ethics and professional practice, and anti-oppressive practice.Apply to this accelerated program if you have a diploma or degree related to the field of social or community work.

The Dental Assisting program provides the education required to work as a certified dental assistant (Levels I and II). As a student in this program, you will develop the skills, technical knowledge and clinical experience necessary to work in a professional, ethical and collaborative manner in a variety of settings.

The Dental Hygiene program teaches students the competencies and skills required to practise as a dental hygienist in the province of Ontario. This program focuses on developing interpersonal communication skills and professionalism while providing dental hygiene care.

Students in the Dental Technology program will develop the specialized skills of a dental technologist, including how to design and fabricate various oral devices that have been prescribed to a patient by a regulated dental practitioner (often a dentist). Throughout this program, you will learn to make a range of dental appliances such as full dentures, partial dentures, crowns, bridges, implant-related restorations, orthodontic appliances and other specialty items. 

Students in the Denturism program are educated within the guidelines of the denturist’s scope of practice. This includes assessment, treatment planning, design, fabrication and maintenance of various dental prostheses and oral devices.Please note: For the January 2025 intake, classes and labs will be held from Monday to Sunday any time between 8 am and 8 pm. This means students will be required to attend classes on weekends and/ or evenings.

The Honours Bachelor of Science (Dental Hygiene) is an online one-year degree completion program in dental hygiene. In this accelerated diploma program, you will study applied behaviour analysis (ABA) and behavioural intervention as it relates to a variety of populations, including those with developmental disabilities, acquired brain injury, gerontology and behavioural disorders.

Clinical Methods in Orthotics/Prosthetics (Postgraduate) is a joint program with Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and other facilities that teaches you how to assess and fit patients with artificial limbs, braces and splints. This program is unique in Ontario.

You will develop people skills and will learn how to use the latest technology to assess appropriate hearing solutions for those in need. This five-semester program starts with a spring/summer bridging semester that leads into year three (or semester 5) of the four-year degree. The practice-oriented and hands-on Orthotic/Prosthetic Technician program teaches students to be competent with many hand tools and specialized machines used in the fabrication of orthotic and prosthetic devices. This program is unique in Canada.

The Recreation Management in Gerontology program will provide you with specialized knowledge in the field of aging and the ability to design and deliver meaningful therapeutic programs to enhance the quality of life of older adults.Graduates of this program meet and exceed the requirements as outlined in the Fixing Long-Term Care Act to work as the recreation lead or as a recreation team staff member.

The Dental Office Administration program will teach you the administrative skills and clinical knowledge needed to work effectively in a dental practice. You'll also get ample hands-on experience off-site with a dental partner, so you'll be ready to work upon graduation.  

The Health Information Management program prepares graduates to participate in the collection and organization of health information. Over the course of two years, students will develop the skills and knowledge they need to work as health information practitioners.

The Office Administration – Health Services program will help you develop the specialized skills needed to work in a variety of health-care settings. You'll learn relevant technological skills like computer applications and specialized software, medical terminology, clinical and office procedures, effective oral and written communication skills and soft skills such as interpersonal skills, teamwork and customer service.

The Bachelor of Science in Nursing program is offered collaboratively between George Brown College, Toronto Metropolitan University, and Centennial College. This four-year degree is a requirement for anyone wishing to work as a registered nurse in the province of Ontario. This program, offered across all three sites, provides diverse clinical placements, simulation-based education, and interactive teaching and learning. Graduates can write the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX), apply for registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario, and pursue nursing positions in a variety of health-care settings. This program is accredited by the Canadian Association of Schools of Nursing (CASN).

The Interprofessional Complex and Long-Term Care program is a two-semester graduate certificate that prepares graduates to lead, manage or co-ordinate a team of interprofessional health-care providers in complex and long-term care environments. This program is delivered online.

Eligible for Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP): YesCIP code: 51.2602The Personal Support Worker (PSW) program teaches students the skills required to provide or assist with personal care for the elderly, the chronically ill, and persons with accessibility challenges. These patients may live in the community, in long-term care facilities, or in select ambulatory care settings.Classes for this two-semester program are held at our state-of-the-art Daphne Cockwell Centre for Health Sciences at Waterfront Campus and are scheduled between 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. from Monday to Saturday. Students can expect to participate in unpaid faculty-supervised clinical practicums that take place in various settings across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). Shift hours may vary between day and/or evenings depending upon the practice setting and may start as early as 6:30 a.m.

The one-semester Personal Support Worker Pathway to Practical Nursing program prepares Personal Support Worker (PSW) graduates for entry into the Practical Nursing (PN) program. This full-time program focuses on strengthening the academic skills required by the PN program. If you apply to the May 2024/25 intake for this program, you will start in May 2025. Following successful completion of this program, graduates will be eligible to write the Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) Registration Examinations—two qualifying examinations required by the Ontario College of Nurses.

The Registered Nurse – Critical Care Nursing program is a one-semester graduate certificate program that prepares registered nurses to provide safe, competent care to critically ill individuals and their families. 

Registered Nurse – Operating Room Perioperative Nursing (Postgraduate) is a graduate certificate program for registered nurses. In one semester, students will learn the skills required to work as an operating room nurse. This program includes both a theory and clinical practice component. 

The one-semester Registered Nurse – Perinatal Intensive Care Nursing (Postgraduate) (S404) program trains registered nurses to provide care for critically ill newborns and their families in an intensive care setting. 

The Registered Practical Nursing – Perioperative (Postgraduate) program prepares RPNs with the foundational theoretical and technical skills needed to work within their scope of practice in a perioperative setting. This program includes a theory and clinical practicum component.

The R.P.N. Bridge to B.Sc.N. two-semester bridging program provides registered practical nurses (RPNs) with the knowledge and skills necessary to enter Trent University's B.Sc.N. degree program offered on-site at George Brown.
