To be considered for any of the awards listed below, students must apply by selecting Divisional Winter Awards through STU-VIEW and be enrolled full-time in a Centre for Construction and Engineering Technologies Program.

Alliance Creative Marketing Joshua To Award

Alliance Creative Marketing (Liza Tam/Joseph To) has donated funds for the establishment of the Alliance Creative Marketing Joshua To Award. This award is available to any registered George Brown College Student in Construction and Engineering Technologies who are in their 4th Year (7th Semester) for the following program(s): T312

The following criteria must be met by the applicant:

  • The student must be in good academic standing
  • The student must display passion for their field of study
  • The student must be actively involved in the community (college and/or external)

Alliance Creative Marketing Leadership Award

Alliance Creative Marketing has donated funds for the establishment of the Alliance Creative Marketing Leadership Award. This award is for students enrolled in the Angelo DelZotto School of Construction Management at the Centre for Construction and Engineering Technologies.

The following criteria must be met by the applicant:

  • Enrolled in the 4th year of the Bachelor of Technology – Construction Management Degree (T312) program
  • Must have a program GPA of 2.75 or higher
  • Demonstrate leadership qualities through various means such as volunteering
  • Exhibit a passion for future academic/professional goals in the area of construction management

Alliance Creative Marketing Nicholas To Award

Alliance7 Award in Construction Management

Alliance7 Construction Inc has donated funds for the establishment of the Alliance7 Award in Construction Management. This award is available to any registered George Brown College Student in Construction and Engineering Technologies in any year of study for the following program(s): T312

The following criteria must be met by the applicant:

  • The student must display financial need
  • The student must maintain a 3.0 Min GPA or higher
  • The student must display passion for their field of study

Altus Group Award of Excellence in Cost Consulting 

Altus Group will present an award to full-time students at the Centre for Construction and Engineering Technologies Angelo DelZotto School of Construction Management.   

Eligibility Requirements: 

  • Registered, full-time, domestic and/or international student 
  • Student must be registered in the 3rd year of the T312 – Construction Management Degree program 
  • Preference given to students who are members of a winning team from the Capstone I – Bid Competition course 

Application Process: 

A list of winners will be provided by the Bid Competition Committee. Recipients will be required to complete a paper application provided by Awards Office 

American Association of Cost Engineering (AACE) Scholarship

American Association of Cost Engineering has donated funds for the establishment of the American Association of Cost Engineering Scholarship. The award is available to students in the Honours Bachelor of Technology (Construction Management) Program (T312), Civil Engineering Technology Program (T164) and/or Construction Engineering Technology (T105)

The following criteria must be met by the applicant:

  • Demonstrate academic excellence with a course GPA of 3.5 or higher in cost-estimating courses
  • Exhibit passion and dedication to estimating
  • The student must display financial need

Anna Lopez Memorial Scholarship

The George Brown College CCET Department has donated funds for the establishment of the Anna Lopez Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship is available to students enrolled in any program in the School of Apprenticeship and Skilled Trades, Architectural Studies, or Mechanical Engineering Technologies.

The following criteria must also be met by the applicant:

  • Student must be in good academic standing with a minimum program GPA of 2.5 or higher
  • Student must have overcome or faced personal/financial obstacles to obtain their studies
  • Student must be a registered full-time domestic student

An 86 Alumni Award

An 86 Alumni Award recognizes outstanding students within the skilled trades program at the Centre for Construction and Engineering Technologies (CCET). Established by Doug Hietkamp, a 1986 graduate of the Electromechanical Engineering Technician program, this award is committed to providing vital support to students and fostering the next generation of skilled trades professionals.
 
For the 2024-2025 academic year, two awards will be awarded to two students who meet the following criteria:

  • Student must be a registered full-time domestic student
  • Student must be in their first year in any program within the School of Apprenticeship and Skilled Trades
  • Student must demonstrate financial need

Bolt Charitable Foundation Entrance Awards

BOLT Charitable Foundation has donated funds for the establishment of the BOLT Charitable Foundation Entrance Awards. The award is available to students in the program T132, T109, T312, T164, T105, T403, T408, T110, T126, T162, T160, T121, T173, T146, T171, and T172 in any year of study.

The following criteria must be met by the applicant:

  • Minimum GPA of 2.0
  • The student must display financial need
  • Student must have attended Tridel Day of Discovery, OR have completed a high school program related to the trades, OR have two months of experience in the construction industry

Building and Concrete Restoration Association Scholarship

Building and Concrete Restoration Association of Ontario has donated funds for the establishment of the Building and Concrete Restoration Association Scholarship. This award is available to any registered George Brown College Student in Construction and Engineering Technologies who are in their 1st Year for the following program(s): T110, T148, T312

The following criteria must be met by the applicant:

  • The student must display financial need
  • The student must maintain a 3.0 Min GPA or higher
  • The student must display passion for their field of study
  • The student must be a registered domestic student

Building Industry & Land Development (BILD) Association Scholarship

Building Industry and Land Development Association has donated funds for the establishment of the Building Industry & Land Development (BILD) Association Scholarship. The award is available to students in all CCET programs program in any year of study.

The following criteria must be met by the applicant:

  • The student must display financial need

Canerector Scholars Program

Beginning in the 2024-2025 and ending in the 2028-2029 academic year, the Donor has agreed to provide a gift specifically designated to George Brown College, Centre of Construction and Engineering Technologies, School of Apprenticeship and Skilled Trades.

Scholarship Criteria:
Registered, full-time student who is a Canadian citizen, Permanent Resident or Protected
Person/Refugee.

First-year, first-semester students in the following programs:

  • Plumbing Techniques (T165)
  • Welding Techniques (T166)
  • Electrical Techniques (T167)
  • Construction Techniques (T176)

Recipients Receive:

  • Funding for each semester of their program ($1,000/semester)
  • Development Opportunities
  • Leadership Opportunities, including CCET Ambassador

Cansel Scholarship

During the 2022-23 academic year Cansel will offer five (5) awards of $1,000 each will be presented to five (5) full- time students in the Angelo DelZotto School of Construction Management with the following criteria:

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Two (2) awards to students enrolled in the T412 – BIM Management Program
  • Three (3) awards to students enrolled in the 3rd year of the T164 – Civil Engineering Technology
  • Demonstrated strong academic standing with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Exhibited passion for their field through but not limited to in-class work, projects, and/or research work.

CCET Sustainability Scholarship

GBC CCET/Dr. Adel Esayed; Julia Bondarenko has donated funds for the establishment of the CCET Sustainability Scholarship. This award is available to any registered George Brown College Student in Construction and Engineering Technologies in any year of study for all programs in this category

The following criteria must be met by the applicant:

  • The student must maintain a 3.0 Min GPA or higher

CentreCourt Award for Excellence in High-Rise Construction

Starting in 2022-23 over the next two (2) academic years, awards will be presented annually to full-time students at the Centre for Construction and Engineering Technologies, Angelo DelZotto School of Construction Management.

Each year, $2,500 will be awarded to the team finishing in 1st place for the Highrise Construction Technology course competition incorporating material provided by CentreCourt. The $2,500 will be divided equally among the members of the winning team. As such, these students will need to match the below criteria:

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Registered, full-time, domestic and/or international student and
  • Student must be registered in the 3rd year of the Honours B.Tech – Construction Management Program.

Note: In addition, students will have the opportunity to learn about CentreCourt projects and participate in extra-curricular activities that may include but are not limited to site tours, project presentations, and guest lectures with CentreCourt.

Charles L. Hagedorn Memorial Scholarship

Michael Whiteside has donated funds for the establishment of the Charles L. Hagedorn Memorial Scholarship. The award is available to students in the T165 program in any year of study.

The following criteria must be met by the applicant:

  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • The student must display financial need
  • The student must have demonstrated a commitment to the plumbing trade

Chris Campbell Perseverance Award

The Chris Campbell Perseverance Award was created was created to support the advancement of the education of students at George Brown College

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Registered, full-time domestic students.
  • Demonstrate financial need as determined by the Institution’s policies.
  • Exhibit a strong interest and commitment to their field of study through their extracurricular activities, volunteer work, and involvement in the classroom.
  • Preference will be given to students who self-identify as BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, Person of Colour)
  • Must be enrolled full-time in one of the following programs at the Angelo DelZotto School of Construction Management, or the School of Apprenticeship and Skilled Trades at the Centre for Construction and Engineering Technologies, George Brown College:

Christine Raissis Endowment

Christine Raissis has donated funds for the establishment of the Christine Raissis Endowment. This award is available to any registered George Brown College Student in Arts & Design/CCET in any year of study for the following program(s): Engineering/Computer technologies (T127, T141, T147, T405, T402, T411, T413, T163), research project

The following criteria must be met by the applicant:

  • The student must display financial need
  • The student must maintain a 3.0 Min GPA or higher
  • The student must display passion for their field of study

CIBC BOLT Student Awards

CIBC has donated funds for the establishment of the CIBC BOLT Student Awards. The award is available to students in the T109, T132, T170, T105, T161, T164, T312, T313, T314, T315, T316, T317, T403, T110, T126, T148, T160, T162, T165, T167 programs in any year of study.

The following criteria must be met by the applicant:

  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • The student must display financial need
  • Student must have attended Tridel Day of Discovery, OR a two-week job shadow, OR have completed a high school program related to the trades, OR have two months of experience in the construction industry

Colliers Project Leaders Scholarship

Colliers has donated funds for the establishment of the Colliers Project Leaders Scholarship. This award is available to any registered George Brown College Student in Business & CCET in any year of study for the following program(s): B415, T105

The following criteria must be met by the applicant:

  • The student must display financial need
  • The student must maintain a 3.0 Min GPA or higher
  • The student must be actively involved in the community (college and/or external)

Concert Properties & Partners Award

Concert Properties has donated funds for the establishment of the Concert Properties & Partners Award. The award is available to students any year of T146, T171, and T126 programs.

The following criteria must be met by the applicant:

  • The student must display financial need
  • The student must be actively involved in the community (college and/or external)
  • Resume
  • Write an essay on: Describing professional and personal goals, how the award will impact these goals, and a demonstration of their leadership qualities
  • Student must provide letter of reference from guidance counsellor or community member

Concert Properties & Partners Entrance Award

Concert Properties has donated funds for the establishment of the Concert Properties & Partners Entrance Award. The award is available to students entering in their first year of T146, T171, and T126 programs.

Concert Properties & Partners In-Course Award

Construction Specifications Canada Toronto Chapter Fred Clarke Memorial Scholarship

CSC Toronto Chapter has donated funds for the establishment of the Construction Specifications Canada Toronto Chapter Fred Clarke Memorial Scholarship. This award is available to any registered George Brown College Student in Construction and Engineering Technologies in any year of study for the following program(s): T312, T412, T164, T161, T105, T403, T409, T408

The following criteria must be met by the applicant:

  • Student with highest grades in the Specification and Documentation Course (BLDG3008)
  • The student must be in good academic standing

CSA Group (Canadian Standards Association) 90th Anniversary Scholarship

Canadian Standards Association has donated funds for the establishment of the CSA GROUP (Canadian Standards Association) 90th Anniversary Scholarship. The award is available to students in the T151 program in any year of study.

The following criteria must be met by the applicant:

  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • The student must display financial need
  • The student must have demonstrated leadership in their program of study.

Dahl Outstanding Student Award

dahl Brothers Canada Limited has donated funds for the establishment of the dah Outstanding Student Award. The award is available to student in their second, third or fourth year of the T165 program.

The following criteria must be met by the applicant:

  • Minimum GPA of 2.5
  • The student must display financial need
  • The student must display integrity, respect, accountability, teamwork and a positive attitude.

Daniels Leadership in Education Scholarship

Daniels Corporation has donated funds for the establishment of the Daniels Leadership in Education Scholarship. This scholarship is available to any student enrolled in a degree or diploma program at the Angelo DelZotto School of Construction Management.

The following criteria must be met by the applicant:

  • Student must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
  • Sole-Support students
  • Have overcome obstacles to undertake their studies at George Brown College
  • Exhibit interest in the area of study, community involvement and/or volunteering
  • Students focused on Residential Sector preferred

Eastern Construction Company Scholarship

Prima Air has donated funds for the establishment of the Eastern Construction Company Scholarship. The award is available to students in any year of study that demonstrates dedication to the field of construction.

The following criteria must be met by the applicant:

  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • The student must be actively involved in the community (college and/or external)

Entuituve Award in Structural Systems for Architectural Technology

Entuitive has donated funds for the establishment of the Entuitive Award in Structural Systems for Architectural Technology. The award is available to students in the Architectural Technology Program (T109/T169) in the 3rd year of their studies.

The following criteria must be met by the applicant:

  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Highest combined grades in the following 3 Structural Systems courses:
    • Structural Systems- Timber
    • Structural Systems- Steel
    • Structural Systems- Concrete
  • Demonstrates Entuitive’s core values- creative, collaborative, and advanced

Note: Award recipient(s) may be given the opportunity to apply and compete for a 3 month paid internship at Entuitive.

Enzo Trevisan Achievement Scholarship

Eastern Construction has donated funds for the establishment of the Enzo Trevisan Achievement Scholarship. The award is available to students in T160 and T162 programs in any year of study that demonstrate academic excellence.

The following criteria must be met by the applicant:

  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • The student must display financial need

General Contractors' Association of Toronto Scholarship

General Contractors’ Association of Toronto has donated funds for the establishment of the General Contractors’ Association of Toronto Scholarship. The award is available to students in the T312, T313, T314, T315, T316, T317 programs in any year of study.

The following criteria must be met by the applicant:

  • The student must display financial need
  • The student must have demonstrated leadership and improvement in their program of study
  • The student must have worked in construction

General Contractors' Association of Toronto - Applied Research Scholarship

General Contractors’ Association of Toronto has donated funds for the establishment of the General Contractors’ Association of Toronto – Applied Research Scholarship. The award is available to students in the T312, T313, T314, T315, T316, T317 programs in any year of study.

The following criteria must be met by the applicant:

  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • The student must display financial need
  • The student must have involvement in research project related to construction
  • A reference letter from a professor or from a contact in the construction industry

General Contractors' Association of Toronto - Internationally Educated Professionals Scholarship

General Contractors’ Association of Toronto has donated funds for the establishment of the General Contractors’ Association of Toronto – Internationally Educated Professionals Scholarship. The award is available to students in the T403 program.

The following criteria must be met by the applicant:

  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • The student must display financial need
  • The student must have displayed improvement in their professional communication and provide a reference from Professor or a contact in the Construction Industry.

Gillam Family Scholarship

The Gillam Family has donated funds for the establishment of the Gillam Family Scholarship. The award is available to students in the T109,T132,T170,T105,T161,T164,T312,T313,T314,T315,T316,T317,T403 programs in any year of study.

The following criteria must be met by the applicant:

  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • The student must display financial need
  • The student must be actively involved in the community (college and/or external)
  • The student must have leadership and/or mentoring in their program of study.
  • The student must provide a character reference from professor, employer or volunteer.

Harry Mooradian Memorial Scholarship

CCET Dean has donated funds for the establishment of the Harry Mooradian Memorial Scholarship. This award is available to any registered George Brown College Student in Construction and Engineering Technologies in any year of study for all programs in this category

The following criteria must be met by the applicant:

  • The student must display financial need
  • The student must be a registered domestic student

HCAT Award of Excellence in Honour of Vittorino Soncin

Heavy Construction Association of Toronto (HCAT) has donated funds for the establishment of the HCAT Award of Excellence in Honour of Vittorino Soncin. This award is available to any registered George Brown College Student in Construction and Engineering Technologies who are graduating for the following program(s): T164

The following criteria must be met by the applicant:

  • The student must maintain a 3.5 Min GPA or higher
  • The student must display passion for their field of study
  • The student exhibits a commitment and spirit of dedication in Construction Research projects (including but not limited to thesis work, school project and/or applied research project)

HCAT Civil Engineering Technology Scholarship

The Heavy Construction Association of Toronto has donated funds for the establishment of the HCAT Civil Engineering Technology Scholarship. This award is available to students in the Civil Engineering Technology Program with Co-op (T184) who have completed their 5th semester in their program.

The following criteria must be met by the applicant:

  • Has a cumulative GPA of 2.7 of greater
  • Applicant demonstrates a commitment and dedication to the field of heavy construction(Could include course participation, work experience or volunteer activities)

Honeywell Award

Honeywell has donated funds for the establishment of the Honeywell Award. The award is available to a student in T146 or T171 programs. The student must demonstrate a spirit of cooperation and teamwork in their coursework, participation in an innovative capstone project and/or research activity.

The following criteria must be met by the applicant:

  • Student must provide summary of innovative problem solving, concepts and ideas demonstrated by the students, and the impact

IBI Group BIM Innovation Award

IBI Group has donated funds for the establishment of the IBI Group BIM Innovation Award. This award is available to any registered George Brown College Student in Construction and Engineering Technologies in any year of study for the following program(s): T412

The following criteria must be met by the applicant:

  • The student must maintain a 3.0 Min GPA or higher

Interior Systems Contractors Association of Ontario (ISCA) Scholarship

Interior Systems Contractors Association of Ontario has donated funds for the establishment of the Interior Systems Contractors Association of Ontario (ISCA) Scholarship.

The award is available to students in the T170 program.

The following criteria must be met by the applicant:

  • The student must be involved in the interior systems industry

James C. MacKay Scholarship

CGC Inc. has donated funds for the establishment of the James C. MacKay Scholarship. The award is available to students in the T109, T132, T170, T105, T161, T164, T312, T313, T314, T315, T316, T317, T403 programs in any year of study.

The following criteria must be met by the applicant:

  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • The student must display financial need
  • The student must have demonstrated dedication and enthusiasm for a career in the construction Industry.

Jerry Giovannone Scholarship

The Daniels Corporation has donated funds for the establishment of the Jerry Giovannone Scholarship. The award is available to students in the T312, T313, T314, T315, T316, T317 programs in any year of study.

The following criteria must be met by the applicant:

  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • The student must display financial need
  • The student must demonstrate dedication and enthusiasm for a career in the Construction Industry.

Jervis B. Webb Company of Canada (DAIFUKU) Scholarship

This award is available to any registered George Brown College Student in Mechanical Engineering Technology (Construction and Engineering Technologies), , Apprenticeship & Skilled Trades (Construction and Eng. Tech) who are in their 2nd Year or higher for the following program(s): T110, T148, T162, T146, T171

The following criteria must be met by the applicant:

  • The student must maintain a 3.0 Min GPA or higher
  • The student must be a registered domestic student
  • The student must be actively involved in the community (college and/or external)

Job Talks Inc. Women in the Trades Scholarship

Job Talks Inc., would like to designate an award to female students who are actively promoting a Skilled Trades educational pathway. This could be through one's social media presence, volunteering at program open houses/recruitment events, or other ways of being an ambassador for their trades-related program or the Skilled Trades generally.

Starting in the 2022-2023 academic year and ending in the 2026-2027 academic year, one (1) award of $2,000.00 will be presented annually to one (1) female student in the CCET program at George Brown College, for the next five years.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Registered, full-time, domestic or international student
  • Students must identify as female
  • Students must be enrolled in any full-time program at the Centre for Construction and Engineering Technologies
  • Students must demonstrate financial need
  • Students must demonstrate efforts to promote the skilled trades – through volunteering, social media promotion, or other means

Leadership in Interior Design Technology Scholarship

David Gordon and Elizabeth Greenblatt have donated funds for the establishment of the Leadership in Interior Design Technology Scholarship. This award is available to any registered George Brown College Student in Architectural Studies (Construction and Engineering Technologies) who are in their 3rd Year for the following program(s): T170

  • The student must maintain a 2.5 Min GPA or higher
  • The student must display passion for their field of study

Maple Reindeers Leadership in Construction Scholarship

Maple Reinders Constructors Ltd has donated funds for the establishment of the Maple Reinders Leadership in Construction Scholarship. This award is available to any registered George Brown College Student in Construction and Engineering Technologies who are in their 1st year or 2nd Year for the following program(s): T312

The following criteria must be met by the applicant:

  • The student must display financial need
  • The student must maintain a 3.0 Min GPA or higher
  • The student must display passion for their field of study
  • The student must be actively involved in the community (college and/or external)

MetriCan Scholarship

MetriCan Mfg. Co. Inc. has donated funds for the establishment of the MetriCan Scholarship. This scholarship is available to students enrolled in their 2nd year of the Mechanical Technician – CNC and Precision Machining Program (T173)

The following criteria must be met by the applicant:

  • Student must maintain a program GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Demonstrate strong interest in the area of tooling and has passion for future academic/professional goals in that area
  • Preference is given to:
    • Students who have developed solutions to mechanical issues(could include but not limited to school projects or work/volunteer experience)
    • Students who wish to participate in extracurricular activities and are team players

Michael Ludolph Memorial Scholarship

The Michael Ludolph Memorial Scholarship is available to students in the T312, T313, T314, T315, T316, T317 programs in their second, third or fourth year of study.

The following criteria must be met by the applicant:

  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • The student must be actively involved in the community (college and/or external)
  • The student must display financial need
  • The student must have demonstrated leadership in their program of study.

Nobles Futures Award

Noble has donated funds for the establishment of the Nobles Futures Award. The award is available to students in the T165 and T160 or T162.

  • The student must display financial need

Ontario Building Officials Association Scholarship - in Memory of Michael Ludolph

This award is available to any registered George Brown College Student in Construction Management (Construction and Eng. Tech) who are in their 2nd, 3rd, 4th for the following program(s): T312, T109

The following criteria must be met by the applicant:

Paul & Gerri Charette have donated funds for the establishment of the Paul & Gerri Charette Endowment. The award is available to students in the T161, T105, T164, T312 programs in their first year of study.

  • Write an essay on: Describing professional and personal goals and how the chosen construction education path will contribute to their lives.

Paul Miller Memorial Carpentry Bursary

Kim Elliott has donated funds for the establishment of the Paul Miller Memorial Carpentry Bursary. This award is available to students in the T140, T148 and T126 programs who have successfully completed their first semester.

The following criteria must be met by the applicant:

  • Student must exhibit a passion for carpentry
  • Preference given to students who self-identified that they are a returning student who may be transitioning into a second career

Colin Simpson has donated funds for the establishment of the Paul Simpson Memorial Scholarship. The award is available to students in the T121, T149, T143, T146, T171, T105, T161, T164, T312, T313, T314, T315, T316, T317, T403 programs in any year of study.

Peter Gilgan Mattamy Homes Entrepreneur Scholarship

Peter Gilgan, Mattamy Homes has donated funds for the establishment of the Peter Gilgan Mattamy Homes Entrepreneur Scholarship. The award is available to students in the T312, T313, T314, T315, T316, T317 programs in any year of study.

The Plan Group Inc. and OACETT Inaugural Engineering Award is available to students in T171, T121 (Building automation/mechanical engineering) in their second, third or fourth year.

Pinball Clemons Foundation has donated funds for the establishment of the Pinball Clemons Foundation B.O.L.T Scholarship. This scholarship is available to full-time students enrolled at the Centre for Construction and Engineering Technologies at George Brown College.

RESCON John Kluznik Memorial Award

RESCON has donated funds for the establishment of the RESCON John Kluznik Memorial Award. This award is available to any registered George Brown College Student in Construction and Engineering Technologies in any year of study for the following program(s): T109

RESCON Scholarship

RESCON has donated funds for the establishment of the RESCON Scholarship students in CCET enrolled in programs approved by RESCON, students from T408 are preferred.

The following criteria must be met by the applicant:

  • The student must display financial need
  • The student must be actively involved in the community (college and/or external)
  • Student must have demonstrated involvement in the residential construction sector such as through courses, work and volunteer activities

Roger Grochmal Entrance Scholarship for Apprenticeships and Mechanical Engineering

Roger Grochmal will contribute $5,000 towards five (5) entrance awards of $1,000 each to five (5) full-time students starting in the 2022-2023 academic year.  This award is specifically designated to students in the Centre of Construction and Engineering Technologies, School of Mechanical Engineering Technologies who meet the following criteria.

Sealant and Waterproofing Association Leadership Award

Starting in the 2022-2023 academic year, Sealant and Waterproofing Association (SWA) will be offering One (1) award of $2,500 to one (1) full-time student in the School Apprenticeship and Skilled Trades at Centre for Construction and Engineering Technologies who meets the following criteria.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be registered, full-time domestic student
  • Enrolled in the Building Renovation Technology (T148) in their 2nd or 3rd year of study
  • Maintain strong academic standing with a program GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Exhibit strong leadership qualities
  • Demonstrated passion for field of study through but not limited to co-op, internship, or another work-integrated-learning project/placement.

Toronto and Area Road Builders Association (TARBA) has donated funds for the establishment of the TARBA Civil Technology Scholarship. The scholarship is available to students in T164 program enrolled in their second semester

TCA’S Young Construction Leaders Award

Toronto Construction Association (TCA) has donated funds for the establishment of the TCA Young Construction Leaders Award. This award is available to full-time students in the Angelo DelZotto School of Construction Management enrolled in the Bachelor of Technology – Construction Management Degree Program (T312).

The following criteria must be met by the applicant:

  • Successfully completed his/her first year and must have a program GPA of 2.75 or higher
  • Demonstrates leadership qualities through various means such as volunteering
  • Exhibit a passion for future academic/professional goals in the area of construction management

Technology Cabinet has donated funds for the establishment of the Technology Cabinet Scholarship. The Adtek Building Consultants Indigenous Scholarship

Adtek Building Consultants would like to offer $500 yearly to full-time students at the School of Architecture Studies.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Registered, full-time domestic and/or international student or.
  • Have applied for full-time studies at George Brown College and received a GBC student number.
  • Must be registered in the Architectural Technology Program (T109/169).
  • Must demonstrate an exceptional and applied interest in Indigenous heritage and culture as part of their program of study (including but not limited to) i.e. program coursework, co-op/internship, and/or an applied research or particular project.

Association of Architectural Technologists of Ontario has donated funds for the establishment of the Association of Architectural Technologists of Ontario Achievement Award. The award is available to a full-time student in T109 program entering their final semester of study.

  • The student must not have any missing courses or academic holds
  • The student must achieved an overall increase in program GPA over the course of the first 5 semesters

Toronto Hydro has established a new scholarship dedicated to supporting Ukrainian students who are newcomers to Canada. This award is designated to the School of Mechanical Engineering Technologies at the Centre for Construction and Engineering Technologies.

The following criteria must be met by the applicant:

  • Student must be of Ukrainian descent, who is a recent newcomer to Canada
  • Enrolled in the Electromechanical Engineering Technology – Power & Control Program (T182) in the School of Mechanical and Engineering Technologies
  • Exhibits interest in their field of study and has passion for future academic/professional goals

Turner Fleischer Architects Award in BIM for Architectural Technology

Turner Fleischer Architects Inc. has donated funds for the establishment of the Turner Fleischer Architects Award in BIM for Architectural Technology. The award is available to 3rd year students in the Architectural Technology Program (T109/T169).

The following criteria must be met by the applicant:

  • Must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Resident of Ontario for at least 12 months prior to enrolment
  • Highest combined grades in the following BIM software course
    • BIM for Architectural Technology 2 and 3
  • Exhibits strong interest in the area of BIM software application and contributes greatly to the classroom learning environment

University Women's Club (Toronto) Heritage Fund Scholarship

University Women's Club (Toronto) Heritage Fund has donated funds for the establishment of the University Women's Club (Toronto) Heritage Fund Scholarship. This award is available to any registered George Brown College Student in Construction and Engineering Technologies in any year of study for all programs in this category

Benjamin Valliquette has donated funds for the establishment of the Valliquette Family Award. This award is available to any student enrolled in a Centre for Construction and Engineering Technologies program.

The following criteria must be met by the applicant:

  • Student demonstrates a commitment to volunteerism and a passion for their field of study
  • The student must display financial need
  • Preference is given to a female student as a way of giving female students equal opportunity to pursue a career in the construction or engineering industry

The Villa Charities Renzo Pillon Memorial Scholarship

Villa Charities Foundation has donated funds for the establishment of The Villa Charities Renzo Pillon Memorial Scholarship. This award is for students enrolled in the School of Architectural Studies at the Centre for Construction and Engineering Technologies.

The following criteria must be met by the applicant:

  • Enrolled in 2ND or 3RD year of the Architectural Technology Program (T109/169)
  • Have a program GPA of 3.5 or higher
  • Demonstrates leadership qualities through various means such as volunteer community service.
  • Exhibits strong interest for their field of study. Preference given to students who demonstrate special interest in Italian heritage and culture as part of their program of study (including but not limited to co-op/internship, and/or an applied research projects).

Walsh Canada Bursary for Safety and Academic Excellence

This award is available to any registered George Brown College Student in Construction Management (Construction and Eng. Tech) who are graduating for all programs in this category

The following criteria must be met by the applicant:

  • The student must maintain a 3.5 Min GPA or higher
  • The student must display passion for their field of study
