To be considered for any of the awards listed below, students must be enrolled full-time in a program from the Centre for Arts, Design & Information Technology and can apply by selecting Divisional Winter Awards in the Student Profile application through STU-VIEW during the award application window.

School of Design
Albina Skibicka Bursary
Laurentian Technomedia Inc has donated funds for the establishment of the Albina Skibicka Bursary. The award is available to students in the G102 program in any year of study.
The following criteria must be met by the applicant:
- The student must display financial need
- The student must have demonstrated excellence in magazine page layout
Canadian Rotographics Limited Scholarship
Canadian Rotographics Limited has donated funds for the establishment of Canadian Rotographics Limited Scholarship. The award is available to full-time and/or part-time students in the School of Design.
The following criteria must be met by the applicant:
- Demonstrates academic excellence with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater
- Student is in their final year of study
- Student shows an inspiring talent for Design but is at risk of dropping out due to personal or financial hardships
Certain Affinity Game Developer Scholarship
One (1) award of $2,500 will be presented to one (1) full-time student at George Brown College with the following criteria:
- Must be a registered, full-time domestic student, who is one of the following:
- A Canadian citizen
- A permanent resident of Canada
- Student must be enrolled in their second or third year, in one of the following Game Development programs at George Brown College:
- Game – Art (G119)
- Game - Programming Program (T163)
- Student must demonstrate financial need as determined by the Institution’s policies.
- Based on Certain Affinity’s core value, to strive for excellence, the student must be in good academic standing with a minimum program GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Based on Certain Affinity’s core value to continuously evolve, the student must exhibit a strong interest and commitment to their field of study through their extracurricular activities, volunteer work, and involvement in the classroom.
- Based on Certain Affinity’s core value to be kind, considerate, and embrace diversity, preference will be given to a student who self-identifies as being from one of the equity-deserving groups, including women, persons with disabilities, racialized persons (BIPOC), persons from diverse gender identities and persons who identify as 2SLGBTQ+.

Francis Mak Memorial Scholarship
The School of Design has donated funds for the establishment of the Francis Mak Memorial Scholarship. The award is available to students in any design program in any year of study.
The following criteria must be met by the applicant:
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- The student must display financial need
- The student must be open to working with others
- Student must demonstrate that they have overcome obstacles in the pursuit of higher education
George and Dorothy Dilworth Graphic Arts Scholarship
Dennis Smith has donated funds for the establishment of the George and Dorothy Dilworth Graphic Arts Scholarship. The award is available to students in the Graphic Arts and Design programs in their second year of study.
The following criteria must be met by the applicant:
- The student must display financial need
- The student must demonstrate that they have high aptitude and scope for further development of technical aspects and conceptual skills needed to create high-impact graphic arts and design.
Melissa Quan Memorial Award
Ronald Quan/Myrna Velasco-Quan has donated funds for the establishment of the Melissa Quan Memorial Award. This award is available to any registered George Brown College Student in the Centre for Arts, Design & IT in any year of study for the following program(s): T163, G119
The following criteria must be met by the applicant:
- The student must display financial need
- The student has overcome obstacles to undertake their studies at George Brown College
- The student must display passion for their field of study
- The student must be actively involved in the community (college and/or external)
Randy Johnson Memorial Award
This Award was established to support the advancement of the education of students at the College. The award will be given to students in the School of Design who demonstrates a talent and passion for wayfinding and design.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be enrolled full-time in George Brown College School of Design.
- Must demonstrate financial need.
- Must exhibit a strong interest and commitment to their field of study through their extra-curricular activities, volunteer work, and involvement in the classroom.

School of Design Scholarship
The School of Design has donated funds for the establishment of the School of Design Scholarship. The award is available to students in the G102 program in any year of study.
The following criteria must be met by the applicant:
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- The student must display financial need
- The student must be open to working with others and have demonstrated that they have overcome obstacles in the pursuit of higher education.
Shelley Warsh Memorial Scholarship
Gary Hanrahan has donated funds for the establishment of Shelley Warsh Memorial Scholarship. The award is available to students in the G102 program, with the highest cumulative average in GRAF 1004, GRAF 1014, and GRAF 2026.
The Cundari Scholarship
The Cundari Group has donated funds for the establishment of The Cundari Scholarship. The award is available to students in any design program in any year of study.
The following criteria must be met by the applicant:
- The student must display financial need
- Student should be self-motivated and passionate about learning.
Toronto Flag X GBC School of Design Scholarship
The Toronto Flag have will contribute a total of $5000 towards an award for the 2022/2023 academic year. This scholarship gift is specifically designed to students in Centre for Arts, Design and Information Technology.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be registered, full-time domestic and/or international student
- Must be enrolled in any full-time diploma or degree program at the School of Design
- Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
- Must demonstrate financial need

Fashion Awards
Cameron Jeffrey Memorial Scholarship
The gift is specifically designated to students enrolled at George Brown College’s Centre for Arts, Design and Information Technology, in the School of Fashion and Jewellery.
Every year if the fund supports it, one (1) award of $500 will be presented to one (1) full-time student at George Brown College with the following criteria:
Criteria:
- Registered, full-time domestic and/or international student
- Enrolled as a full-time student in the School of Fashion and Jewellery.
- Must exhibit outstanding creativity and style through their course work.
- Exhibits a passion for their field of study and a spirit of dedication to their peer community at George Brown College.
- Must be in good academic standing with a minimum program GPA of 2.0 or higher.
- Outstanding creativity
- Heightened Creativity and Style
- Community builder at GBC in their program of study
- Submit 3 illustrations, could be hand drawing or Adobe to be considered. Should represent creativity, style and Design.
- Minimum GPA of 2.0
- Colourful and joyful student
- Maybe a short 3-5 sentence paragraph on how the student has the above qualities.

Fashion Business Industry Award - 1st year
The Academic Department has donated funds for the establishment of the Fashion Business Industry Award - 1st year. The award is available to students in the F112 program in their first year of study.
Fashion Business Industry Award - 2nd year
The Academic Department has donated funds for the establishment of the Fashion Business Industry Award - 2nd year. The award is available to students in the F112 program in their second year of study.
Fashion Business Industry, First Year Student Achievement Award
The Academic Department has donated funds for the establishment of the Fashion Business Industry, First Year Student Achievement Award. The award is available to students in the F112 program in their first year of study.
The following criteria must be met by the applicant:
- The student must demonstrate the highest GPA in the first year.
Fashion Management First Year Student Achievement Award
The Academic Department has donated funds for the establishment of the Fashion Management First Year Student Achievement Award. The award is available to students in the F102 program in their first year of study.
The following criteria must be met by the applicant:
- The student must demonstrate the highest GPA in the first year.
Fashion Management Award - 2nd Year
The Academic Department has donated funds for the establishment of the Fashion Management Award - 2nd Year. The award is available to students in the F102 program in their second year of study.
Fashion Techniques & Design Award - 1st year
The Academic Department has donated funds for the establishment of the Fashion Techniques & Design Award - 1st year. The award is available to students in the F113 program in their first year of study.
Fashion Techniques & Design Award - 2nd year
The Academic Department has donated funds for the establishment of the Fashion Techniques & Design Award - 2nd year. The award is available to students in the F113 program in their second year of study.
Frances Villano Fashion Award
The Academic Department has donated funds for the establishment of the Frances Villano Fashion Award. The award is available to students in the F102 program in their graduating year of study.
The following criteria must be met by the applicant:
- The student must demonstrate commitment to program, learning community, fellow students, and faculty endorsement.
International Fashion Management & Development Award
The Academic Department has donated funds for the establishment of the International Fashion Management & Development Award. The award is available to students in the F402 program in any year of study.
Joan Landy Memorial Leadership Award
Sharon Snitman has donated funds for the establishment of the Joan Landy Memorial Leadership Award. The award is available to students in the School of Fashion & Jewellery in any year of study.
The following criteria must be met by the applicant:
- The student must demonstrate leadership qualities through various means such as volunteer community service.
- The student must demonstrate a strong passion for the field of studies.
Nick Malajczuk Memorial Scholarship
GBC ADIT (Rosa Fracassa Rep.) has donated funds for the establishment of the Nick Malajczuk Memorial Scholarship . This award is available to any registered George Brown College Student in the Centre for Arts, Design & IT who are in their 2nd Year (3rd Semester) for the following program(s): F113
The following criteria must be met by the applicant:
- The student must maintain a 3.0 Min GPA or higher
- The student has overcome obstacles to undertake their studies at George Brown College
- The student must display passion for their field of study
- The student must be actively involved in the community (college and/or external)
Rachel Ennis Memorial Scholarship
The Donor has agreed to direct contributions in the total amount of $250 for student scholarships.
One (1) award of $250 each will be presented to one (1) full-time student from the Centre for
Arts, Design & Information Technology, School of Fashion & Jewellery at George Brown
Criteria:
- Registered, full-time, domestic and/or international student
- Student participates in extracurricular activities and values working with others
- Student exhibits a commitment and spirit of dedication to their chosen area of professional study
- Student has a program or cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher

School of Fashion Award for Excellence in Marketing
This award is available to a George Brown College Student in Fashion (Centre for Arts, Design & IT) in their second year of study for the following program(s): F102, F112
The following criteria must be met by the applicant:
- The student must maintain a 3.0 Min GPA or higher
- The student must display passion for their field of study
- The student must be actively involved in the community (college and/or external)
- The student must have the highest combined average in FASH2004 and FASH2008
School of Fashion Scholarship
Anne Sardo has donated funds for the establishment of the School of Fashion & Jewellery Scholarship. This award is available to any registered George Brown College Student in Fashion (Centre for Arts, Design & IT) in any year of study for the following program(s): F102, F112, F113, F414, and F415
The following criteria must be met by the applicant:
- The student must display financial need
- The student must maintain a 2.5 Min GPA or higher
- The student must be a registered domestic student
- The student must display passion for their field of study’

Sharon Snitman Scholarship
Sharon Snitman has donated funds for the establishment of the Sharon Snitman Scholarship. This award is available to any registered George Brown College Student in Fashion (Centre for Arts, Design & IT) in any year of study for the following program(s): F112

William Villano Fashion Award
The Academic Department has donated funds for the establishment of the William Villano Fashion Award. The award is available to students in the F102 program in their graduating year of study.
The following criteria must be met by the applicant:
- The student must be a graduating student in F102 Fashion management with high GPA, demonstrating commitment to program, learning community, fellow students, and faculty endorsement.
The Honourable Company of Freemen of the City of London in North America Scholarship
The Honourable Company of Freemen Charitable Trust has donated funds for the establishment of the The Honourable Company of Freemen of the City of London in North America Scholarship. This award is available to any registered George Brown College Student in Fashion (Centre for Arts, Design & IT) who are graduating for all programs in this category
The following criteria must be met by the applicant:
- The student must display passion for their field of study
- Preference to student who is attending University of the Arts London
