Develop real-world design solutions

Every year, School of Design students are invited to join multidisciplinary “charrettes” led by the Institute without Boundaries. A charrette is an intensive exercise to collaboratively solve a real-world design challenge with other stakeholders. The Institute without Boundaries works with schools from around the world, faculty, industry experts, and thought leaders to develop innovative solutions to complex local and global problems.

Through participation in annual School of Design events like Digifest, game jams and charrettes, you will be exposed to the leading thinkers and influencers in today’s best studios and emerging digital fields.

  • IN Store: A retail store where students, alumni and faculty develop products for sale.
  • IN Studio: A mentored studio space where students can work on a variety of design projects under staff supervision.
  • IN Catalogue: A print and digital publication showcasing projects, partnerships and products from IN and the Centre for Arts, Design & Information Technology.
