Prepare for a wide range of potential career paths in social media, including advertising consultant, content creator, influencer, and more, with the two-year Social Media Production – Culture-Based Creativity (P116) diploma program.  

Students develop the technical skills and business acumen essential for social media production while exploring the broader context of social media’s role in shaping culture and influencing societal norms. The curriculum also delves into visual literacy, semiotic techniques, and cultural trends. The program’s holistic approach aims to foster effective and ethical social media communication strategies. 

Hands-on learning includes practical creation sessions to explore how social media content is generated. 

Students gain a multifaceted skill set, encompassing the practical aspects of content creation, the ability to generate and interpret analytics, and a deep understanding of the cultural influences and implications inherent in social media dynamics. This comprehensive approach equips graduates to navigate the complex landscape of social media with a nuanced understanding of its technical and cultural dimensions.

You'll need to have access to a personal computer with the following minimum specifications:

  • Apple M3 chip with 8-core CPU, 10-core GPU, 16-core Neural Engine (or Windows-based equivalent)
  • 8GB unified memory 
  • 512GB SSD storage 
  • 14-inch Liquid Retina XDR display²
