Our Honours Bachelor of Business Administration (Business Analytics) four-year degree program will prepare you to meet data-related challenges that modern businesses face across the globe. This interdisciplinary program combines courses in business, leadership, liberal sciences, dashboarding technologies, and analytical techniques to help you improve your critical thinking and management skills. Are you interested in working with data and making informed decisions? Our Honours Bachelor of Business Administration (Business Analytics) four-year degree program prepares you to work in high-demand sectors such as banking, government, pharmaceutical, finance, healthcare, and telecommunications. You'll learn how to interpret data from multiple sources, what type of data you need to collect to make important business decisions, and how to use that data to tell an interesting story.

As a student in this program, you’ll also benefit from an exciting work-integrated learning experience, where you’ll work directly with industry employers.

Here are some skills you’ll be able to show off after completion of the Honours Bachelor of Business Administration (Business Analytics) program:

  • Using business intelligence models, data management, data insights and frameworks, data-science-based decisions, and value-creation opportunities to help with decision-making
  • Using the latest software and data science methods to analyze and disseminate data for various business uses
  • Conducting qualitative and quantitative research to aid in strategic planning
  • Communicating accurately and professionally through written, oral, digital, and visual media, adapting to context as needed

Delivery

  • This full-time degree program is delivered in an online format for the first two years and in person for the latter two years.
  • International students can study the first two years remotely from their home country and no study permit is required. However, students would have to apply for a study permit well in advance of coming to Canada to begin year three (5th semester). If students are successful in securing a study permit for years three and four of the program, they will also be eligible to apply for a post-graduation work permit.

Your Field Education Options

The program includes:

  • Work-integrated learning experiences that amount to no less than 14 weeks of full-time equivalent work (420 hours), either in one block or in multiple cumulative blocks appropriate to achieving the program learning outcomes.
  • Students will engage with employers on projects that include:
      • development of reporting dashboards with drill-down analytical capabilities
      • predictive model development
      • marketing research
      • customer segmentation development
      • customer relationship management campaign design and implementation
