Program Overview

In the Business Administration – Project Management (with work experience) three-year advanced diploma program, you'll learn everything you need to know to manage projects like a pro. We'll teach you how to handle project scope and change, project control, project staffing, and risk management. Plus, you'll learn how to motivate your team and set goals, use project management tools, and more. With the added benefit of two semesters of real-world work experience, graduates can look forward to a wide range of careers involving project management.

Whether you're working as a project manager or just incorporating project management principles into your work, as a graduate of the Business Administration – Project Management (with work experience) three-year advanced diploma program, you’ll be well-prepared to succeed. 

Here are some skills you’ll be able to show off after completion of the Business Administration – Project Management program: 

  • Evaluating how an organization's project management affects its HR, management, financial, and business strategies and practices 
  • Creating and executing project plans, managing trade-offs and responding promptly to issues and opportunities 
  • Using accounting and financial skills to manage projects effectively 
  • Collaborating professionally and respectfully with teams and stakeholders, valuing diversity

Your Field Education Options

Work Experience (co-op or internship work term)

This program requires the successful completion of two semesters of work experience to graduate. This work experience is either co-op (paid) or internship (unpaid). Either one will give you the practical experience employers value.

George Brown works with employers and industry partners to identify potential work experience opportunities. Students are also strongly encouraged to pursue self-directed industry work experience opportunities they believe will provide the learning experiences they value and meet the learning outcomes of the program. This valuable work experience can, in turn, be added to your resumé.
