George Brown College's Advanced Studies in Inclusive Early Childhood is a post-diploma, one-semester training program that strengthen your capacity to respond to children with special needs. This program is designed for Early Childhood Educators, teachers and supervisors.

George Brown College's Advanced Studies in Inclusive Early Childhood is a one-semester course designed to deepen your Early Childhood practice and enhance your awareness of the community resources available to support your work with special needs children. 

What you can expect

The curriculum offered in this Advanced Studies in Inclusive Early Childhood training reflects a philosophy of inclusive practice of children with special needs in early childhood settings.

This training combines a theoretical component with case-based applications to help solidify your application of the theory in a variety of situations. As you develop a deeper understanding of special needs children and their unique needs, you will be better equipped to develop and implement programs to meet these needs.

This training will focus on the social aspect of special needs and will teach you to develop Individual Program Plans (IPP).
