In the 16-week Apparel Fit Technician certificate program, you’ll learn to recognize good apparel fit, identify fit problems, correct fit in ready-made garments and apply ideal fit standards across different body types and fabrics. As a student in this program, you’ll also develop your customer service skills. 

The 16-week Industrial Power Sewing certificate program prepares you to work in an industrial sewing environment. After completing this program, you’ll be able to construct standard garments using industrial machines to a high standard. You’ll also gain experience using specialty sewing machines and pressing equipment.

In the three-semester Women in Fashion Technology certificate program, you’ll gain the skills to become a machine operator in the digital fashion technology fields of knitting, embroidery, dye sublimation and laser cutting.

George Brown College's Advanced Studies in Inclusive Early Childhood is a post-diploma, one-semester training program that strengthen your capacity to respond to children with special needs. This program is designed for Early Childhood Educators, teachers and supervisors.

George Brown College's Child Development Practitioner (CDP) program is designed for those already working in the field of Early Childhood who wish to pursue formal studies and receive certification as a Career Development Practitioner. As a CDP apprentice, you will be required to take 23 modules of in-school training on a part-time basis in the evenings. This training is currently being offered in a hybrid format - both in-person and online.

George Brown College’s part-time Early Childhood Education (ECE) diploma program will prepare you to work as a trained early childhood professional. In this part-time program, you will study in the evenings taking one to three courses per semester. Upon completion of this program, you will be eligible for entrance to Ontario’s College of Early Childhood Educators. This is a requirement for anyone wanting to work as an Early Childhood Educator in the province of Ontario.

George Brown's Early Childhood Education Diploma program will prepare you for a rewarding career in a rapidly evolving sector. In this 16-month online program stream, you will learn to work with children from six weeks to 12 years of age in a variety of early childhood education settings. Students will complete four in-person field placements. 

George Brown College's Early Childhood (EC) Management Certificate (Post-Diploma) is a one-semester program designed to prepare supervisors and directors for their roles and responsibilities in childcare programs, family childcare, preschools, nursery schools, family drop-in centres, family literacy programs and early intervention services. This program will also prepare you for management and leadership in the integrated early childhood system that is emerging in Ontario.

This program examines applications and examples of automated manufacturing systems, including both the theory and function of digital and industrial electronics, hydraulics and pneumatics, robotics systems, programming languages and alarm management. You’ll learn through a combination of theory and laboratory simulations using LogixSim, a simulation software suite that includes electronics, PLC and robotics simulation.

The Electric Vehicle (EV) Technician training program addresses a global need for people who are skilled in diagnosing, servicing and repairing high voltage EVs, and commercial charging stations.You’ll gain a comprehensive understanding of electrical vehicle circuits through a blend of theoretical and hands-on instruction. Our multimedia learning resources and cutting-edge electrical/electronics simulation software (CircuitLogix Pro) enable you to test, validate and understand the complexities of circuits commonly found in EVs.This program is highly beneficial to Automotive Service Technicians who have a strong background in internal combustion engine (ICE) powered vehicles, but lack the skills in power electronics and data communication systems to safely perform service-related work on EVs and Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEVs). International StudentsThis online distance program does not qualify for study/work permit (including PGWP) eligibility in Canada.The Electromechanical Technician Certificate program provides a complete introduction to electronics and electromechanical systems. This program is often of interest to people who want to study electronics with an emphasis on mechanical systems, for example, someone coming from a millwright background. The program covers mechanical topics outside of a typical electronics program, like industrial control devices, DC and AC motors and control circuits, transformers, analog and digital transducers, industrial process control and PLCs.Advanced StandingIf you have finished the Electronics Technician program, you are exempted from 18 modules of the Electromechanical Technician program.

International StudentsThis online distance program does not qualify for study/work permit (including PGWP) eligibility in Canada.This program focuses on the skills needed to assemble, install, troubleshoot and repair electronic equipment used by consumers, businesses and industry. Students learn electronics theory and how to work with circuits and the various components of electronic systems such as capacitors, resistors, semiconductors and amplifiers. The focus is on a broad understanding of the field that students can then apply to specific areas of interest or employment.

International StudentsThis online distance program is only available to study while remaining in your home country and does not qualify for study/work permit eligibility in Canada.The Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) Technician Certificate program provides the basic technical skills and knowledge necessary to work with programmable logic control systems typically found in an industrial/manufacturing environment. The program covers the operation of various PLC control systems, including both discrete and analog control devices. The simulation software, PLCLogix 500, which is included with the program, simulates the Rockwell RSLogix 500 series of PLCs.Advanced StandingIf you have finished the PLC Technician II program, you are exempted from 7 modules of the PLC Technician program.

International StudentsThis online distance program does not qualify for study/work permit (including PGWP) eligibility in Canada.The PLC Technician II Certificate program introduces the theory behind Programmable Logic Controllers while maintaining an emphasis on the application of PLCs in plant and manufacturing systems. The PLC Technician II program provides a more advanced study of PLCs in manufacturing, including DCS & SCADA systems. The PLCLogix 5000 simulator integrated within the program emulates the Studio 5000/RSLogix 5000 programming applications and features 3D simulation and advanced programming.Advanced StandingIf you have finished the PLC Technician program, you will receive credit for exemptions from seven modules of the PLC Technician II program.

The primary focus of the program is on automated manufacturing processes, as well as the role of robots and their support equipment. If you're a mature student who hasn't completed grade 12 and wants to obtain a certificate, diploma, or degree, then this program is for you.Through a personalized assessment, we'll identify your strengths and areas for growth. You'll then participate in targeted learning activities to enhance your skills, which may include reading, writing, math, and/or science. We also offer individual counselling supports, along with academic and career advising.With multiple intakes throughout the year and options for full-time or part-time study, our program is tailored to accommodate your personal needs. You'll need to complete a reading and writing assessment to make sure the program is the right fit for you and that you receive the proper placement.PLEASE NOTE: Applicants will have the choice between courses offered in-person and online, subject to availability.
