Fostering Community Engagement
In the Centre for Community Services & Early Childhood, learning happens in collaboration with the community and with industry. We have over 1,000 valued partnerships with external organizations.
How can you become involved?
Become a Member of a Program Advisory Committee
We build strong programs through applied learning and maintaining an open and fluid conversation with our community and industry partners. The broader conversation is achieved through our Program Advisory Committees which are composed of employers, community members, college staff and alumni. Leaders in the field advise the faculty about current issues and trends to keep the curriculum strong and relevant.
To make a contribution to your field by becoming a program advisory committee member, please contact Zeenat Janmohamed (zjanmoha@georgebrown.ca) and reference the committee you are interested joining:

Host a Student for Field Placement
Field Education offers students the opportunity to put theory into practice and apply their new skills and knowledge in a workplace setting. Employers have told us that students make significant contributions to the workplace by:
- Contributing to increased productivity
- Bringing fresh energy and enthusiasm into the workplace and
- Giving employers a way to meet and assess potential future employees.
