George Brown College’s part-time Early Childhood Education (ECE) diploma program will prepare you to work as a trained early childhood professional. In this part-time program, you will study in the evenings taking one to three courses per semester. Upon completion of this program, you will be eligible for entrance to Ontario’s College of Early Childhood Educators. This is a requirement for anyone wanting to work as an Early Childhood Educator in the province of Ontario.

George Brown's Early Childhood Education Diploma program will prepare you for a rewarding career in a rapidly evolving sector. In this 16-month online program stream, you will learn to work with children from six weeks to 12 years of age in a variety of early childhood education settings. Students will complete four in-person field placements.

The Assaulted Women's and Children's Counsellor/Advocate (AWCCA) (Accelerated) program will prepare you to provide anti-oppressive counselling and advocacy for survivors of gender-based violence.Apply to this accelerated program stream if you have an existing diploma or degree and work/volunteer experience in feminist organizations and programs and are interested in accelerating your career as a counsellor/advocate for survivors of gender-based violence.To begin your studies in May 20206, apply to the 2025/26 intake for this program. The Community Worker program prepares students to work for progressive social change with organizations, communities, and individuals across a range of issues such as poverty, housing, legal rights, discrimination, food justice, immigration and refugee settlement.

You will study theoretical models and approaches to practice as you develop skills in group facilitation, mental health supports, social innovation and anti-oppressive practice.This is an approved education program by the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW).

The Social Service Worker (Accelerated) program will provide you with the opportunity to learn theoretical models, group facilitation, mental health support, values, ethics and professional practice, and anti-oppressive practice.You can apply to this accelerated program if you have a diploma or degree related to social or community work.If you apply to this program's 2025/26 intake, you will start in May 2026. To begin your studies in May 2025, apply to the 2024/25 academic year.
