The Fashion Techniques and Design two-year diploma program prepares you for an exciting career in garment design and manufacturing. This women's wear program focuses on pattern drafting and sewing skills. You will use industrial machines and learn the essentials of technical illustration, pattern making, pattern grading and clothing construction. Additional core subjects include textiles, technical specifications and history of costume.

In our one-year Gemmology certificate program, you'll learn to analyze and classify a wide variety of gem materials and diamonds used in jewellery, both natural and synthetic. You'll delve into the chemical and physical attributes of gems, learning to differentiate between various types using instruments like microscopes, spectroscopes, refractometers and polariscopes. This knowledge will allow you to classify and appraise gem materials based on their desirable characteristics, ultimately determining their value.

The 16-week Industrial Power Sewing certificate program prepares you to work in an industrial sewing environment. After completing this program, you’ll be able to construct standard garments using industrial machines to a high standard. You’ll also gain experience using specialty sewing machines and pressing equipment.

In the three-semester Women in Fashion Technology certificate program, you’ll gain the skills to become a machine operator in the digital fashion technology fields of knitting, embroidery, dye sublimation and laser cutting.
