Analytics Club

The Analytics Club is a great opportunity to get relevant experience and build your skills in Business and Analytics. Our purpose is to deliver real-world experience to our members and allow the members to develop or advance their skill sets in Business and Analytics. We hold regular Speaker Series, hackathons and competitions, Annual Conferences, Networking Events, and an exciting analytics bootcamp.

Canadian Nursing Student Association

CNSA is a communication link among nursing students across Canada. CNSA advocates on behalf of the nursing students at George Brown College. They conduct a series of workshops, speaking engagements, and activations on campus.

Computer Science Club

Computer Science Club to foster a collaborative and supportive environment for students interested in computer science and related fields. The club will host workshops, hackathons, guest lectures, coding challenges, and group projects, promoting continuous learning, peer support, and professional development in various areas of computer science, including software development, data science, and artificial intelligence.

The purpose of the reimagined startGBC Entrepreneurship Community Club is to create a dynamic and inclusive membership base for all startGBC users, including students, alumni, and members of George Brown community. The club aims to foster a collaborative environment by providing access to a private community platform.

The ESL Podcast Club is to provide a platform for ESL students at George Brown College to enhance their English language skills through collaborative podcast production. The club aims to foster student engagement, improve communication abilities and offer relative outlets for storytelling and cultural exchange.

Our purpose to this club is to serve students interested in markets, economies and want to establish connections within the Financial sector.

From the professional and academic perspective, the club’s mandate aims to provide SCM students experiences they cannot get inside the classroom, thus being a resource of networking and opportunities, both for students and interested parties, in choosing Supply Chain as a career path. Namely, the club is the bridge between academic study and practical experience through networking, guest speaker series, panel discussions, plant visits, workshops, and many other relevant events.

To provide a forum for George Brown marketing students to meet fellow students with an interest in marketing, to participate in professional development opportunities within the college and the marketing industry, and apply their marketing skills promoting the association’s events. Examples of work that will support the association’s purpose include preparing and updating the association’s marketing plan, recruiting members, implementing marketing events, and conducting post analyses.

The GBC Prosthetics and Orthotics Club serves as a vital gathering point for students in this specialized field, fostering a close-knit community essential for academic and professional growth. Through social gatherings like bowling nights and the encouragement of study groups, the club provides opportunities for students to connect and excel academically. Additionally, a mentorship program fosters support and a sense of belonging within the department, while the organization of travel to Canadian P&O events and attendance at seminars and webinars enriches learning experiences and facilitates professional networking.

UX Community Club

The UX Community aims to create a network of UX designers and enthusiasts within George Brown College. We will host educational events, talks, workshops, and designations.

7 Seas is a club that foster a deeper understanding of various cultures, traditions, and perspectives, enriching the student community at George Brown College through inclusivity, creativity, and collaboration. Our club will offer regular meetings, culturally themed events, and a variety of social and educational activities, allowing students from different backgrounds to engage with and learn from one another.

The Fusion Club aims to celebrate culture and community through various activities and events. We believe our club aligns with the goals of the Student Association by fostering student engagement and providing a space for members to share and celebrate diverse cultural experiences.

GBC ASIAN CLUB is created with the mission of bringing all current students and alumni of George Brown College together to have a cultural playground for everyone to share and learn from each other. The Club promises to comply with the following duties To provide a safe space for club participants without discrimination, harassment, and violence; To promote diversity and inclusion principles in the club by welcoming participants from various backgrounds; To offer educational activities that enhance the knowledge of club participants about the countries in Asia; To strengthen the leadership spirits and interpersonal skills of club participants by allowing them to be part of club events.

Our purpose to this club is to ensure that the tradition and knowledge of chess would spread to GBC students as chess is a game of strategy it evokes mental strength.

GBC Drawing Club is an academic club where students from all campuses can express their creativity and skills in fine arts, regardless of their program or campus. Historically, this club welcomes students by conducting life drawing sessions with a live subject or providing feedback on student artwork, to help improve drawing skills. Now students will incorporate these skills independently through weekly art challenges where they will draw according to the theme. The goal of the club is the find more creative individual across all of the campus.

The Gym Buddy Club is dedicated to fostering an inclusive community that emphazies mental health, networking, and healthy lifestyles. We aim to support students that are passionate about fitness and interested in ehancing both their physical and social fitness through engaing in sports and gym activities.

The Organization of Latin American Students (OLAS) provides students at George Brown College with Hispanic/Latino descent with the opportunity to share their culture with all students, faculty, and staff at George Brown College. The network welcomes all students to join this network. OLAS serves as an academic space, focusing on discussions and activities such as: education, culture, history, politics, and events.

Indian Cultural Association

The Association will connect with every international and domestic student through cultural programming and events that will allow students and GBC community members to explore cultural activities.

Iranian Student Association

The Iranian student club is a place for Iranians to share their rich heritage and culture with others. The Iranian students club is a safe place for Iranians to be heard and express themselves. We would love to share everything about Iran and the Persian people with you.

The goal of the Muslim Student Association is to create an encouraging and inclusive environment for the Muslim population at George Brown. Our mission is to serve the needs of these students on and off-campus. The Aim and Purpose of MSA is to serve and represent the needs of Muslims on and off-campus. This MSA will work towards integrating its values into George Brown’s community.

The purpose of an ASL Club is to promote awareness and understanding of American Sign Language and Deaf Culture. It provides a space for GBC students and community members to learn ASL, practice communication skills and connect with the Deaf community. The club also fosters inclusivity, enhances cultural appreciation and encourages social interaction among members through events and activities.

Byte Club 

The Byte Club is a casual and competitive gaming community meant to foster innovations both in the game development and gaming field. We hold talk nights and online game nights.

Formula 1 Club

The Club is dedicated to bringing together students interested in Formula 1 racing. Our purpose is to foster a community of F1 enthusiasts, provide a platform for discussing all aspects of the sport, from technical details to race strategies, and promote an understanding of the business and engineering behind Formula 1. We aim to organize live viewings of races and qualifiers, conduct simulation races, and participate in or host F1-related competitions and events.

GBC Sustainability Squad

This club aims to bridge the gap between sustainability and student experience by implementing projects that benefit students and the environment. A student-led sustainability club will be held at George Brown College to reach its sustainability goals while engaging the students in a process, and this will imbed sustainable practices into campus culture while empowering students through increase environmental literacy.

Ultimate Frisbee Club

We are the GBC Extramural Men’s Hockey Team. We play four tournaments this year, representing the GNC Athletics Department at other colleges around Southern Ontario. We practice every week on Wednesdays. We seek club support to help sponsor our tracksuits, and tournament travel.
