Biography
Johnson Yang joined George Brown in 2007 and he teaches mathematics, statistics and computer applications. Before that he was a faculty member at Inner Mongolia University of Science and Technology from 1985 to 1996. After he finished his PhD at Beihang University (Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics) at the end of 1999, he joined the faculty there.
Johnson has done research in bio-mathematics and intelligent control theory and has published many papers in both fields. He successfully stabilized the triple inverted pendulum system with a digital controller and subsequently developed his own model of the triple inverted pendulum. He holds a patent on the mechanical design of this new model and has manufactured it for use in many universities.
