Biography
Steffanie Adams is a LEED accredited professional and a member of the Canadian Green Building Council. She holds a Master’s Degree in Architecture from the University of Toronto. She has taught sustainable design courses to many of Canada’s largest general contractors (AECON, Ellis don, Kenaiden, and more) and has been involved in comprehensive energy efficient research projects and publications. Currently, Steffanie is a professor at George Brown College teaching in the Architectural Studies program with a focus on “building green” in lectures and studios and is a founding member of George Brown College’s Green Team: a committee designed to assess, monitor, and initiate environmental strategies at the College.
Steffanie also works closely with one of Canada’s largest sports recreation developers and operators on a number of projects as LEED designate including: Upper Canada College (LEED Gold) twin-pad, the BMO Centre (LEED Silver equivalent), Amherstburg’s Libro Credit Union Complex (LEED Silver), and the Dartmouth 4-pad (LEED Silver) and the University of Saskatchewan new arena complex.
