Biography
A winner of the prestigious Staff and Organizational Development Award, an international award given to professors across the globe for excellence in teaching, Lori Futterer brings to George Brown College over 23 years of experience in marketing, with specialties including strategic marketing management, integrated marketing communications, media planning, new product development, advertising and new media. Lori is responsible for teaching and developing the industry-relevant, progressive curriculum within both the post-diploma and undergraduate marketing programs. She also holds a student advisory role at George Brown, involving counselling and supporting students who are struggling in their classes and/or are on academic probation, as well as assisting students looking for information on programs and courses and providing guidance on career planning.
Lori spent the first nine years of her career in brand management at Procter and Gamble (P&G), where she managed the marketing of several brands in both the health and beauty care and paper products divisions. Her work included leading new product launch efforts, strategic marketing planning, global efforts to co-ordinate the marketing of brands internationally and coordinating account-specific marketing programs. Positions held included both a Canadian and Global focus.
