Indigenous Knowledge Keeper Series
Join Indigenous Initiatives to honour National Indigenous Languages Day on March 31, 2025, and the international decade of Indigenous Languages (2022-2032). There are more than 70 Indigenous languages across 12 language families in Canada, and they represent generations of accumulated traditional knowledge and ways of knowing and being.
Indigenous Initiatives is dedicating this iteration of the Indigenous Knowledge Keeper Series to Language reclamation and revitalization.
The guest speaker, Pisim Sb, will be sharing knowledge on the importance of language, covering essential topics such as decolonizing the mind, ancestral governance, and the many ways Indigenous languages have been systematically eradicated from Indigenous ways of being.
