Biography

Mohsen Selseleh is a seasoned educator and data science professional with a strong academic foundation and extensive teaching experience. Currently a part-time professor at George Brown College, Mohsen specializes in teaching programming fundamentals for analytics and overseeing data project capstone courses, empowering students to develop critical skills in data science and business analytics. With advanced degrees including a Ph.D. in Communication Science from Allameh Tabataba'i University (ATU), an MA in Mathematics and Statistics from York University, and an MA in Data Science from the University of Guelph, Mohsen combines rigorous academic training with practical industry expertise. He also holds an Honour BA in Mathematics for Commerce (Actuarial Science) from York University. He is going to be graduated at Honour BA economics from York university on April, 2025.

From 2006 to 2010, Mohsen served as a tutor at ATU while completing his Ph.D., mentoring students in research methods and communication science. He also worked as a teaching assistant at both York University (2019) and the University of Guelph( 2022), where he supported undergraduate courses in mathematics, statistics, and data science. A dedicated mentor and researcher, Mohsen has contributed to diverse fields such as financial modeling, machine learning, and risk assessment, and has a passion for fostering student success. His academic contributions and mentorship through the Kaggle BIPOC Program have earned him recognition as an advocate for inclusive education.
