George Brown College joins Toronto's all-night art festival, Nuit Blanche, at the Waterfront campus, showcasing diverse artistic talent and community engagement.

George Brown College (GBC) will participate in this year's Nuit Blanche art festival, proudly hosting four powerful installations as part of the Waterfront East exhibitions, including one by Venezuelan visual artist and GBC School of Design student, Sara Vargas Nessi

Titled “The Home I Never Knew,” Sara's installation will be displayed at our Daniels Waterfront Campus, at 3 Lower Jarvis Street, and aligns with the festival's theme, “Bridging Distance.” Inspired by Venezuela's vibrant landscapes, flora, fauna, and culture, this captivating work explores the profound connections people share with places they may never have visited. The installation will be projected onto the second-floor balcony of the Daniels building.

Other installations, all at our Waterfront campus, include Michele Rizzo’s “Coalescing Towards” at the loading dock, Germaine Liu’s “(Sing Sing) Starfield” in the second-floor auditorium, and “On the Count of Three,” by Nour Bishouty in the lower-level amphitheatre.

Join us on Saturday, October 5, from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. to experience Sara's innovative installation and the creativity lighting up the night sky across the city.
