Risk Management Forms

All GBC students participating in a Global Learning placement are required to complete the Agreement of Participation for Students Engaged in Outbound Study and Work Integrated Learning including: 

  • Emergency Contacts for Students Participating in Outbound Study and Work Integrated Learning 
  • Liability Waiver for Students Participating in Outbound Study and Work Integrated Learning 
  • Emergency Contacts for Students Participating in Outbound Study and Work Integrated Learning  
  • Attestation of Good Health  
  • Photo and Video Consent Forms 

International SOS

All GBC students participating in a Global Learning placement are required to register with International SOS. 

Travel Advisories

All GBC students should review the travel advisories issued by Global Affairs Canada and information pertaining to local laws and culture, entry and exit requirements, health, natural disasters and climate change. All domestic GBC students should register with the Registration of Canadians Abroad. All International GBC students should review the support and services offered by the Embassies and Consulates of their respective home country. 

Predeparture Sessions

All GBC students participating in a Global Learning placement must complete a mandatory session hosted by Global Learning. 

Passports, Visas, and Legalities

All GBC students participating in a Global Learning placement should ensure that they meet the necessary passport and visa requirements to study and / or work in their host country. Check with the Embassy or consulate of your host country to review the visa application process.

Travel Insurance 

All GBC international students are required to purchase health insurance through the GBC Student Association insurance plan. If domestic students choose to opt out, comparable insurance plans must be pre-approved.
