Harnessing the power of tech & big data

Marketing degree

The Honours Bachelor of Commerce (Digital Marketing) program, launched in the fall of 2023, provides a well-rounded education in all business areas with digital marketing specializations. Students learn about the use of digital devices, media, data, platforms, and technology to develop, implement, and manage marketing campaigns that promote a company and its products and services.

People Analytics postgrad

The one-year People Analytics graduate certificate program addresses the current needs within the human resources (HR) sector by providing students with skills and knowledge in analytics, applied communication, computer applications involving HR systems, statistics, research, data mining and modelling, and HR metrics. Graduates will develop specialized analytic knowledge and skills related to improving organizational people management practices, strategic workforce planning, business operations and organizational outcomes, talent retention, diversity and inclusion, and business effectiveness.

Students can also build out their resume with a work-integrated learning term.

Supply Chain degree

The COVID-19 pandemic highlighted how essential it is to have a stable supply chain. If you’d like to build a career in a fast-paced and technology-driven industry, the four-year Honours Bachelor of Commerce (Supply Chain Management) program is for you. It prepares graduates for potential opportunities in global sourcing and procurement, transportation and distribution, production management, business planning, and supply chain analysis and logistics.

“Supply chain management is the backbone of modern commerce, and a degree in this field is not just a credential; it's a passport to understanding the intricate dance of global logistics, efficient operations, and strategic planning that drives businesses forward in an interconnected world,” said Dr. Nadira Singh, Associate Dean of the School of Management.

Programs that prepare you for in-demand financial services careers

Centre for Business industry partners reported a need for financial services professionals with specific skill sets, and we responded with four new programs that are ideal for people looking to complement their previous education and experience. These are great options for graduates of our Honours Bachelor of Commerce (Financial Services), running since 2003.

“Lifelong learning is an essential part of a successful career in the financial services industry. Our new programs provide excellent options for professionals looking to advance their careers or for individuals who want to build on their previous education,” said Dr. Mohammad Khan, Associate Dean of the School of Accounting and Finance. “These programs are informed by the industry’s respective professional body, so the skills you develop in class are the ones needed now in the workforce.”

Compliance and risk postgrad

We developed the one-year Financial Services – Compliance and Risk postgraduate program with leading industry experts to give students the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in a compliance or risk career in the financial services sector. Students explore a range of courses, including Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Regulatory Oversight of Financial Products, Advanced Topics in Regulatory Compliance, Risk Management and Strategic Decision Making and more.

Financial planning certificate

The Advanced Curriculum Certificate in Financial Planning program includes three courses to complete the technical knowledge required for the CFP examination. It’s designed for students with previous education in personal financial planning.

Investment analysis postgrad

The Financial Services – Investment Analysis postgraduate program prepares graduates for potential roles that could include equity research analyst, fixed income research associate, fund accountant, and personal banker. This is the first college program in Ontario that prepares students to write the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Institute Level 1 exam.

Please note that completion of this program does not provide an automatic pathway to earn a CFA designation or any other professional credential/certification from a professional body.

Wealth management certificate

Our Wealth Management certificate program directly addresses feedback from leaders in the industry — the need for skilled administrative and operational wealth management professionals. This fully online program runs on weeknights, making it a convenient option so you can manage weekday commitments. This program offers two streams of specialization: financial operations management and client management.
