George Brown College grants Province of Ontario authorized certificates, diplomas, advanced diplomas, and graduate certificates in accordance with the Ontario Qualifications Framework developed by the Ontario Government.

Under the authority of the Post-Secondary Education Choice and Excellence Act 2000, the college may also grant degrees.

To earn a certificate of completion, certificate, diploma, advanced diploma, graduate certificate, or degree, a prescribed sequence of semester courses must be successfully completed. The type of credential awarded varies according to the program. Check our Program Finder to determine the type of credential awarded by your program.

Students may also earn George Brown College Continuing Education certificates of completion and certificates by completing the posted requirements as outlined on our Continuing Education website. Requirements for each program area vary.
