Access one-on-one or group programming that promotes student well-being.

We provide a range of programming options to support student mental health, foster connections and develop life skills. Check out the options below for details.

Calm Zone

Remove yourself from the pressure of school, work and life. Come draw, meditate or engage in quiet conversation. Our lower sensory space is designed to provide a touchpoint for your college experience and provide you with mentors who are there to create connections to various college services and off-campus resources. 

Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

ASD & Friends

ASD & Friends is a drop-in group for students with the shared experience of autism, and students who feel they share traits, but without a diagnosis. Explore strategies for college success, build each other up for the week ahead, and get to know other students experiencing George Brown through the lens of autism.

For Fall 2024 semester:
Tuesdays, 3 to 4 p.m.

Community Club

A space for students to learn from one another, with a focus on hope, empowerment, possibility and connection. Students design the courses and lead the learning, helping each other through conversation, videos and other media.

Communication Survival Toolkit

The Community Club: Communication Survival Toolkit is a series of social gatherings, where we will be talking about the various forms of communication, and how they impact our lives and careers. Get tips from mentors and other students, and join in the fun!

For Fall 2024 semester:
October 7th, 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.: Peer Communication
October 7th, 1 to 2 p.m.: Social Networking
November 4th, 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.: Listening Skills
November 4th, 1 to 2 p.m.: Small Talk (Talking to Strangers)

East Asian Support Group

Are you an international student from East Asia? Or a student whose parents immigrated here, and have created certain expectations and pressures? Find community on campus, share successes and challenges, and talk with other students about the things that matter to you.

For Fall 2024 semester:
Fridays, bi-weekly, 1 to 2 p.m.:
