George Brown College (GBC) Alumni Relations, in collaboration with Orbit 5, proudly launched the Navigating Professional & Life Success Beyond Graduation Career Development Workshop Series in November 2023. This comprehensive seven-week program empowered GBC graduates across diverse fields by offering resources and insights essential for personal branding, job search strategies, and effective resume and cover letter writing.
The workshop series drew participation from 138 graduates across six academic areas, including Business, Early Childhood Education, Fashion Design, Architectural Technology, Health Informatics and Career Development.
The series covered a range of content themes, including "Mastering the Job Search Game," "Crafting Impactful Resumes that Convert into Interviews," "Strategies for Personal Branding Success," and more.
Feedback from participants underscored the workshops' relevance and professional value, earning an impressive overall rating of 4.7 out of 5. Graduates not only gained confidence but also acquired practical tools and in-demand skills to stand out in a competitive market. The interactive workshops promoted engagement and provided a welcome opportunity for alumni to enhance their skills while building their professional networks.
