Larissa Meleiro’s story provides a great example of how polytechnic education, the kind you’ll get at George Brown, sets you up for success in the workforce. She developed industry-relevant skills in her program, got an internship where she further honed those skills and was hired from that experience with the Hilton hotel group.

“The hands-on training I received at George Brown gave me the skills to handle different situations that I encountered,” Meleiro, a Hotel Operations Management graduate, told the Globe and Mail. “I went to a college for that exact reason, because I was looking for technical skills and hands-on learning.”
