Support Indigenous Learners and the David Wolfman Leadership Award

September 30th marks the National Day of Truth and Reconciliation, also referred to as Orange Shirt Day. This day honours the First Nations, Métis, and Inuit children who never returned home, and the intergenerational impacts on the survivors of Indian Residential Schools, their families, and communities. Commemoration of the tragic and painful history is a vital component of the reconciliation process. All Canadians are encouraged to wear orange on this day and to take part in acts of reconciliation.

This year, Chef David Wolfman, at George Brown College has established a new leadership award. This award will be given out annually to Indigenous students in financial need who best demonstrate leadership and a passion for making a positive difference in the lives of others.

Your generous donation to the David Wolfman Leadership Award will support and honour Indigenous youth, our future community leaders. Your contribution will go a long way towards building a renewed relationship with Indigenous Peoples.

100% of your donation will go to George Brown College students, no processing fees or administration fees will be applied to your gift. You will receive a tax receipt by email for donations made over $20.
