Biography
Shelley Bramston is a designer, gemmologist and goldsmith based in Toronto. Shelley formally began her jewellery career in 2000 after completing a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto in Ancient Near Eastern Studies. Upon graduating with honours (2003), she returned to George Brown to complete the Gemmology program (2004), leading to Fellowship certification by both the Canadian and British Gemmological Associations (2005).
Shelley went on to master her fabrication and gemmological expertise in the wholesale sector, designing and overseeing the production of private collections, custom designs and heirloom repair/restyling for some of Canada’s finest jewellery retailers.
In 2022, in addition to establishing Bramston Goldsmithing, Shelley also joined the part-time faculty at George Brown College where she enjoys sharing her industry knowledge and experiences.
