Biography
Robert Ruggieri is an expert in the field of operational excellence. For much of his career, he has focused his efforts on corporate sustainable strategies, with an emphasis on mixed global and domestic marketing and sourcing strategies. Robert’s 17 years of progressive private sector experience provides him with significant knowledge in the high-tech (Celestica), automotive (NRI Industries), aerospace (Noranco, Goodrich Landing Gear), and clean-tech industries (Conventus). Most recently Robert worked as a consultant to small to medium enterprises, with activities focused on corporate finance and capital markets for the purpose of company acquisition, expansion and/or sale. While working full-time in the private sector, Robert also taught part-time at Humber College and Niagara College.
Robert is driven by the success of his clients and this is extended into his classroom. His teaching philosophy is geared to the marketability of his students entering the job force, with the goal of achieving 100% Student employment after graduation. In order to be marketable, students must be skilled to perform activities that go beyond their first jobs. To help achieve this, Robert challenges those in his class to think beyond the course material, using course material as a baseline for expanded learning.
