Biography
Louisa Zhu is a professional actor and performance combat artist. She has been a Certified Fight Instructor with Fight Directors Canada since 2015 and has taught at numerous secondary and post-secondary institutions around Toronto. She has served as a fight director and movement consultant on many productions and has worked in both Canada and the United States. Louisa’s work is also heavily influenced by her martial arts training, which she has been actively practicing since 2012.
As an actor, Louisa trained at the University of Toronto in the University College Drama Program and the British American Drama Academy and has received a Dora nomination as part of the cast of Treasure Island at Solar Stage Children’s Theatre. Louisa is passionate about cultural diversity in the performing arts and continues working to address and raise awareness about the issue.
