Domestic Applicants Conditional Offers of Admission

In some cases, a conditional offer of admission may be issued to:

  • An applicant who is currently enrolled in required courses.
  • In the process of completing a required credential.
  • An applicant who still needs to complete a supplemental requirement

All conditions will be identified in the Offer of Admission and on STU-VIEW. The conditions must be met and the official transcript (where applicable) must be submitted through ontariocolleges.ca by the date specified in the offer letter.

Students who are currently attending high school may be accepted conditionally on the basis of their grade 11 final marks or grade 12 midterm marks in the required prerequisites. Acceptance is based upon successful completion of the OSSD (Ontario Secondary School Diploma) at the end of the academic year, as well as the specific course requirements, and any minimum grades, if required.

George Brown College may revoke an offer of admission of any applicant who does not meet the deadline for submission of final transcripts or credentials.

Conditional Offer based on Residency

In addition, domestic applicants who apply as a Permanent Resident will be asked to provide proof of residency. Applicants who do not provide the proof of residency by the deadline date stated will have their status changed to International (Visa) student, and will be charged the fees for an International student.
