How do I get help with my password?

If you forgot your password or never received a password, please follow the instructions below.

Note: Before you proceed, clear the browser cache, history, and any saved George Brown passwords on your computer or device. If you fail to do this step first, you may find your account is locking you out as the device tries to connect with an old password.

For this method, you will need access to the personal email address that you have on file with the college (not your @georgebrown.ca address).

  1. Go to the Mobile Password Reset link.
  2. Enter your student ID number (example 123456789) and the personal email address that you have on file with the college.
  3. Click on "Request Password Reset".
  4. You will receive an email from gbc_alert@georgebrown.ca with a reset link. Go to the reset link and follow the instructions to reset your password.
  5. Once you log in with your new password, you can set up your security questions and answers. This will give you a second method to restore access in the future. Do this at the GBC Identity Manager webpage.

For more information on password support please see Resetting Your Password.

If you are still unable to reset your password, you can:

    1. Visit the in-person Student Service Centre.
    2. Connect with our Contact Centre.

For your protection you will be asked questions to verify your identity.

For MFA support, please see What is multi-factor authentication (MFA)?

If you are experiencing a different issue, please visit the IT Support for Student webpage.
