1. Check the General Education requirements for your program to find out whether you need to choose an elective from a specific category in order to fulfill the General Education breadth requirement.
2. Check your academic record on Degree Works to find out if you have outstanding General Education requirements. Degree Works is available through STU-VIEW.
3. Check the list of electives that are offered to students in your program. You can do this by logging in to your registration page through STU-VIEW. The list of elective offerings is below the list of program courses.
You can also see the offerings by going to the General Education and Liberal Studies Electives webpage. In the "What Courses are Offered" section (section B), click on the name of your campus (Casa Loma, St. James or Waterfront) and then look for your program in the elective package.
To read descriptions of the courses offered, go to the General Education and Liberal Studies Electives webpage and look for the Course Descriptions section (section B). The descriptions are organized by category: Arts and Humanities (GHUM), Social Sciences (GSSC) and Science and Technology (GSCI).
