The Honours Bachelor of Digital Experience Design Bridge program is available for graduates, second-year, and third-year students of the advanced diploma in Interaction Design (G103/G113) to transfer into the Honours Bachelor of Digital Experience Design degree program. This degree program produces designers who can solve problems using human-centred, socially conscious and economically viable digital solutions.

Apparel Fit Technicians are able to recognize good apparel fit, identify fit problems and correct fit in ready-made garments. They apply ideal fit standards across different body types and fabrics. Students also develop their customer service skills in this program.

Graduates acquire the digital and hands-on training to enter skilled employment as machine operators in the digital fashion technology fields of knitting, embroidery, dye sublimation or laser cutting.

The Industrial Power Sewing program prepares graduates to work in an industrial sewing environment. Graduates have the ability to complete standard garment construction work using industrial machines to a quality standard. Specialty sewing machines and the use of pressing equipment are also taught and practised by students.

The program examines applications and examples of automated manufacturing systems including both the theory and function of digital and industrial electronics, hydraulics and pneumatics, robotics systems, programming languages and alarm management. This online program is delivered to students using a combination of theory and laboratory simulations using LogixSim, a simulation software suite that includes electronics, PLC and robotics simulation.

The Electromechanical Technician Certificate program provides a complete introduction to electronics and electromechanical systems. This program is often of interest to people who want to study electronics with an emphasis on mechanical systems, for example someone coming from a millwright background. Students learn electronics theory and how to work with circuits and the various components of electronic systems such as capacitors, resistors, semiconductors and amplifiers. The focus is on a broad understanding of the field that students can then apply to specific areas of interest or employment.

The program covers the operation of various PLC control systems including both discrete and analog control devices. The simulation software, PLCLogix 500, that is included with the program, simulates the Rockwell Logix 500 series of PLCs.

The PLC Technician II Certificate program introduces the theory behind Programmable Logic Controllers, while maintaining an emphasis on the application of PLCs in plant and manufacturing systems. The PLC Technician II provides a more advanced study of PLCs in manufacturing including DCS & SCADA systems. This certificate program introduces the concepts of industrial robots and explains how they are used in a plant or manufacturing system. The primary focus of the program is on automated manufacturing processes, as well as the role of robots and their support equipment. Receive instruction in both theoretical concepts and laboratory exercises using a combination of multimedia learning resources and a robotics simulation software package.

Academic Upgrading is a tuition-free, full-time/part-time program for English-speaking adults, designed to improve their reading, writing, math and science skills. The program prepares students for college level post-secondary studies, further skills training, apprenticeship or employment. Students create individualized learning plans based on their goals.For acceptance into the program, applicants complete a reading and writing assessment to determine their literacy levels and eligibility for the program. While in the program, students are provided with advising services and may be eligible for a transportation allowance. The program runs year-round and runs new-student orientation classes every seven weeks (one week prior to the beginning of each semester and during each mid-semester intersession).

The Academic Upgrading Program for Deaf and hard-of-hearing adults is the only college-based Academic Upgrading program in Toronto with all courses taught in American Sign Language (ASL).The program is for Deaf and hard-of-hearing students who want to upgrade their English, ASL and math for success in further education, training or employment. New students can join the program in September or January. There is no tuition fee for this program. Transportation subsidy is available for qualified students. The program is funded by Employment Ontario through the Ministry of Colleges and Universities (MCU).

The Construction Craft Worker Foundations program is designed for students who see work as part of their recovery process. The goal of this program is to help people with barriers to training and employment take the first steps toward a job in Toronto’s construction industry.

Transitions to Post-Secondary Education is a supported education, three-semester program for individuals who identify mental health and/or addictions challenges as barriers to education and/or employment. The program provides students with the opportunity to assess new pathways to academic and employment success.
