Dear George Brown community,
As Chair of the Board of Governors, I’ve been fortunate to witness first-hand Anne Sado’s outstanding leadership during her tenure as president of George Brown College. Anne’s tireless dedication to the college has pushed George Brown to the forefront of Ontario’s postsecondary sector and has strengthened our position to support our students as well as the entire city of Toronto.
Anne has much to be proud of. During her time as president, she has led a major expansion in the number of students, programs and in the physical presence of George Brown College – most notably, founding the Waterfront Campus. And that’s why I’m proud to announce that the Atrium of the Daphne Cockwell Centre for Health Sciences will be named Anne Sado Hall. Since Anne was instrumental in establishing The Arbour, we will also name a space in her honour within this future addition to our Waterfront Campus.
Earlier today, the college’s Senior Management Committee team presented Anne with this tribute video:
I encourage you to watch, as many of Anne’s colleagues, friends and family share in saluting her incredible career and accomplishments. Please feel free to share this video with your networks.
On behalf of the Board of Governors, I’d like to extend my humble thanks and appreciation to Anne and ask you to join me in wishing her all the best in her retirement.
Sincerely,
Kevin Costante
Chair, Board of Governors
