Learn to Support At-Risk Children and Youth

As the first nationally accredited program in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton area by the Child and Youth Care Educational Accreditation Board of Canada, our child and youth care programs will teach you how to effectively work with and support children, youth and their families.

Interested in a career in human services but don’t have the academic qualifications?

Our Human Services Foundations  preparatory program will help you strengthen your academic skills and prepare you for entry-level employment in the human services sector and/or further education in a variety of human services-related diploma programs.

Apply Now and Start in January 2025

Human Services Foundations (A113)

Apply to this one-year (two-semester) preparatory program to strengthen your academic skills. This program will prepare you for entry-level employment in the human services sector and/or further education in human services-related diploma programs.

Apply Now and Start in May 2025

Child and Youth Care (Accelerated) (C153)

Apply to this program stream if you have a two or three year diploma or a three or four year degree. This program runs for 12 consecutive months. To start in May 2024, apply to the 2023/24 academic year.

Apply Now and Start in September 2025

Child and Youth Care (C133)

Apply to this stream if you are direct out of high school or are a mature student. This is a three-year program that starts in September.

Human Services Foundations (A113)

Apply to this one-year (two-semester) preparatory program to strengthen your academic skills. This program will prepare you for entry-level employment in the human services sector and/or further education in human services-related diploma programs.

Hands-On Learning

We believe that hands-on experience plays a vital role in solidifying your skills. That’s why we integrate hundreds of field experience hours into both program streams. And with close to 150 active partnerships across the GTA, you’ll have the opportunity to access a variety of placement sites. Current partners include youth shelters, group homes, school boards, hospitals and community organizations to name a few.
