Work Integrated Learning (WIL) encompasses apprenticeship, field education, co-op, internship, clinical placement, applied research, and service learning such as serving members of the public at our WAVE clinics or Chefs' House.
Experiential Learning is an umbrella term that incorporates WIL but is much broader. It also includes the hands-on learning that students do in the classroom, such as interactive simulations, labs, capstone and industry projects.
The goal is to prepare students to succeed in the workforce.
We know WIL is one of the top considerations for prospective students. Presently, over 95% of George Brown College programs offer WIL. Our goal is to have work integrated learning opportunities in every program.
