How do I apply for Continuation of Interest-Free Status if I am not applying for OSAP but received OSAP previously?

When your loans are in interest-free status, you don’t have to make payments on the interest and principal.

To maintain your previous OSAP under Interest-Free status, you must complete the Continuation of Interest-Free Status (CIFS) form found in your OSAP Portal. Log into your OSAP account online and submit the new CIFS web-based application.

If your application is approved, your new study period dates (known as your “confirmed study period”) will be provided to the National Student Loans Service Centre (NSLSC) and/or the financial institution(s) holding your full-time OSAP loans.
