We’re so excited and we just can’t hide it! We’ve released a video overview of Limberlost Place, our new mass-timber building at Waterfront Campus, which is the first in what will be a series of videos showcasing the amazing features of this building.
“With construction well underway on our new mass-timber building, Limberlost Place, this is a very exciting time at George Brown College’s Waterfront Campus," said George Brown President Dr. Gervan Fearon. “By leveraging innovative new techniques and materials for sustainable building, this campus expansion project is creating new learning opportunities for students and industry professionals alike, while supporting the sustainable growth of our city and our college.”
The project continues to win awards here in Canada and around the world, including most recently a special WAFX Award, which celebrates international projects that embrace cutting-edge design approaches and address major world issues ranging from the climate crisis to fostering community resilience. And the project was recently shortlisted for the prestigious 2022 World Architecture Festival Award in the category of Future Project: Education.
