Eager to start a career in IT? Three new fully online programs at the School of Computer Technology provide a convenient option if you want to pursue your education and work during the day.
Our programs are developed with extensive input from employers to help you gain in-demand and relevant skills for the always-changing IT industry. And our industry partnerships provide excellent learning opportunities for students — George Brown College is a longtime member of the Cisco Networking Academy delivering courses that align to internationally recognized networking and security certifications.
“Technology and systems are always changing and professionals who can adapt quickly will always be in high demand,” Heath Freel, President and CTO at End to End Networks. “George Brown students and graduates we’ve worked with are confident and innovative problem-solvers, demonstrating that these programs help students develop the skills employers need.”
We’re offering the following fully online programs starting this fall:
- Computer Programming and Analysis: This three-year program prepares students to enter the workforce with the total package — software application development and testing, and systems analysis and design techniques. The program opens career pathways as a full-stack developer, mobile app developer, database administrator and more.
- Computer Systems Technician: Graduates of this two-year program are prepared to provide client support and network technical support in a range of industries. Students develop the strong administration, troubleshooting and design skills they need to succeed.
- Computer Systems Technology: Students can choose between two specializations in the final year of this three-year program — networking or systems. The program prepares graduates for a range of career paths including cyber security analyst, web developer, system and network administrator and more.
These fully online programs are only available to domestic students. International applicants interested in these programs can apply for the in-person option. Visit the School of Computer Technology’s programs page to learn more.
