Nicole Mikkelsen passed away on November 16, 2021 in her 30th year.
Nicole graduated from George Brown College’s Event Planning program in 2019 and went on to work in event Planning, floral design and opened up her own business as a dried flower designer. Nicole's ability to look at barriers head on and work around them was one of her greatest strengths that we all appreciated in her. Regardless of what challenges she faced she rose above them and succeeded personally and professionally. Although her life was cut short and was unable to fulfill her lifelong dream, she certainly found her passion.
The Nicole Mikkelsen Memorial Award will support 1st year students in the Event Planning program at George Brown College. We are hopeful that in her memory and with students’ hard work and dedication, they will find their passion and dreams and remember her in their journey forward.
Donations to The Nicole Mikkelsen Memorial Award will elicit a tax receipt for the full amount. 100% of your donation will directly go to support the scholarship.
