Who is my International Student Advisor?

Common questions that our International Student Advisors can assist with include:

• How do I extend my study permit?
• How and when do I apply for my post-graduation work permit?
• Can I work on/off campus in addition to working for my co-op?
• Can I work for more than my co-op duration using my co-op work permit?
• What happens if I need to take an unscheduled or unauthorized break from my program?
• What happens to my status if I have less than a full-time course load?
• How do I invite my family members to visit me?

Note that International Student Advisors are not licensed to assist with applications for permanent residency. Periodically the college does host a qualified specialist to give a presentation and answer students' questions about immigration. Students can also seek advice on their own from a qualified immigration consultant or immigration lawyer.
