Biography
Bert has been teaching part-time at George Brown College since 2016. He teaches MS Office (Excel, Word, Access & PowerPoint), Project Management and eCommerce. He has been involved in the corporate training environment for 24 years. He has also worked in civil engineering and technical sales. He graduated from the Cork Institute of Technology, Ireland, in 1980, worked as an assistant site engineer for three years after graduation before moving to Canada.
Bert brings his work experience and knowledge to the classroom. He prioritizes problem-solving, critical thinking and analytic skills. In his class, he discusses case studies where others have solved problems using software.
His interests are hiking, especially on the Bruce Trail, foraging, mycology, euchre, traveling and reading.
