Submit an anonymous complaint

Main Content

Members of the GBC community may submit an anonymous complaint to the Office of Anti-Racism, Equity and Human Rights Services (OAREHRS) regarding concerns about discrimination, harassment, hate, and/or sexual violence through our anonymous disclosure form.

Complaints will be addressed in accordance with the college’s Human Rights Discrimination and Harassment (HRDH) Policy and Sexual Harassment and Sexual Violence (SHSV) Policy.

After you submit a complaint, OAREHRS will assess your submission and assign it to one of our advisors.  Appropriate action will be taken based on the information provided in accordance with equity, harm reduction, trauma-informed and procedural fairness principles.

Please note:

The anonymous complaint form is not for emergencies. If you are concerned about impending harm to yourself or others you should call 911 or seek immediate assistance from Public Safety and Emergency Management and/or Counselling and Student Well-being at the college.  If you are in crisis and need immediate support, you may connect with these emergency resources.

Filing a complaint anonymously may limit our ability to follow up with you to make sure you get support, to ensure that we have all the necessary details, and to report back to you regarding the status of your disclosure or its outcomes.

Community members are also welcome to contact OAREHRS through diversity@georgebrown.ca (for human rights related concerns) and svra@georgebrown.ca (for sexual violence) to book a confidential meeting with someone on our team to review your options, which may include escalating a complaint for review while continuing to maintain the anonymity of the complainant.
