This fully online program was developed for graduates of advanced diploma programs in interior design.

Full Description

Explore design thinking, sustainability, socially responsible practices, building systems and construction in a fully online one-year Honours Bachelor of Interior Design (Degree Completion) (T320) program. Students develop research skills and gain practical experience with a large capstone project.

This degree completion program – developed for graduates of advanced diploma programs in interior design – teaches students how to create, edit and manage construction documents, enabling them to pursue careers in the construction and facilities management industries. Students also learn to analyze interiors, architecture, decorative arts and art within global, historical, economic, ecological and cultural contexts and human-centred theories to examine clients’ needs and goals.

The program prepares students for entry-level interior design practice, advanced study and application for membership in professional interior design organizations.

George Brown Polytechnic is pursuing recognition from the Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA) with the goal of achieving it by 2027. This distinction signals excellence and assures employers and professional associations our graduates meet the highest industry standards.

Your Field Education Options

Students have the opportunity to gain real-world experience through work-integrated learning opportunities, where possible, embedded in studio projects. Students also develop practical skills by participating in a capstone project in the program’s final two semesters.
