What is APA style?

Citing your sources is an essential part of college research which allows you to acknowledge and use the works of others in your essays, research and assignments.

Any information (including ideas!) that you did not create yourself must be credited using a citation method - the most popular are APA (American Psychological Association) and MLA (Modern Language Association).

George Brown College Library Learning Commons webpage is dedicated to various citation styles your instructors may ask you to employ in your research and papers. Follow the link to Cite Your Sources under 'Research Support'.

Do not forget to check with your instructor which citation style they would like you to use!
